I cant play all dvd file formats with media player 11 is there a site where the necessary can be downloaded from to work within media player dont suggest microsoft not there

Try http://www.free-codecs.com the XP codec pack works well, don't download too many codecs though as that can cause more problems.
You could also try vlc http://www.videolan.org its a free media player which plays almost anything. Looks rubbish but just works
