Those that believe that stem cells treatment is unethical or against morality believe that stem cells are effectively human beings and, therefore, cannot be killed for the purposes of research or medical use. The source is generally considered to be the Bible, since God commanded Christians that they shalt not kill [humans].

---Its against humanity cause who in their right mind would take something that helps aid in making their children and donate it to science. Pluripotent stem cells (cells that can develop into many different cell types of the body) are isolated from human embryos that are a few days old. Pluripotent stem cell lines have also been developed from fetal tissue (older than 8 weeks of development). Scientists do stem cell research in hope to achieve the relief of human suffering but is it really worth it.
--- Its illegal because some scientists instead of doing their usual research are trying to find ways to clone the stem cells.
---Theirs a code of ethics everyone lives by and its okay to have an opinion but whose to say whats ethical or enethical. Here are some websites you can go to with more then enough information that will help you.

You are referring to the use of EMBRYONIC stem cells - there are more than one kind of stem cells. The embryonic stem cells used to be available only from embryos that were discarded from fertility clinics, but now there are other sources of them that are not. The debate should be over because of this, but it takes a while for the news about the new non-embryo sources of embryonic stem cells.

Stem cells can be harvested from adults and there is nothing unethical about saving lives.

i think the general gist of most people's arguments is that you are creating and sacrificing lives for the sake of others and who is to say whose life is worth more or less.

The people who are against it have obviously never seen anyone they love waste away from a disease that could be cured.
