If I was a dealership, what could I do to make you visit my dealership again after 4 years and buy a new car from me? What kind of offers can I give you that would entice you back to the dealership?

Let's say this is the first contact I'm making in 4 years, if I sent you a pack full of vouchers to get your current car spruced up (car detailing, safety checks, windshield repair, etc), would you come back? And if I followed that up in a month with the best offer price made just for you, would that be enough?

If you are working in a dealership, and looking to get and retrain repeat customers and referrals, here is what the most successful, long term sales reps do:

1. Stay at one dealership. Do not hop from dealer to dealer.
2. Contact your prospects weekly, if not more.
3. Contact your sold customers 2 days after they purchased a vehicle, 2 weeks after they purchased, 1 month after they purchased, and then every 3 months.
4. Send Birthday/Holiday/Anniversary cards to your customers and prospects that you did not sell.
5. If you build a personal relationship with them, then they will keep coming back to you, and sending people in to see you.
6. If there is ever a problem, no matter what, step up and take responsibility for it. Be the Liason for your customer, so they know that they can go to you.
7. Always treat them like you want to be treated.
8. Grab the customers of sales reps that have left the company. call them and let them know that you are there to take care of all of their automotive and service needs, and put them on your follow up list with your own customers.

Guaranteed, if you invest the time and effort with the customers you have now, you will, in the future, not have to be out prospecting for cold prospects.

how honest they are in giving me a good price with no b.s. When I know what I want they try to get it for me without trying to sell me something else. How good the service department is. I have bought 7 cars in less than 5 years from the same dealership because of this.

i recentlybought a new car for my wife (4 weeks ago) and i have already decide to go back to the dealer to buy myself a new 1 there are a few main reasons which are

they offer friendly service
they have honored warranty agreements ( very quickly even providing me with a loan car )
and finally they are very competively priced

as for what offers can u give just be honest, respect people and sell for a fair price but im sure if you offered a free grease and oil change it would sweeten any future deals

if you make people feel good about dealing with your company the very first time they will deal with you again

To get me in you gotta treat me well the first time. Don't be pushy, don't lie, don't pack payments, etc. Be as honest and friendly as possible. Be ready to lose a little money with me to earn more money later when I bring my family and friends who need cars over.

Also after service is very important. If you do a piss poor job servicing my car, I will probably never buy a car from you.

Vouchers for free maintenance would also help.

It is not necessarily offers but customer service and prduct quality that would get me back. Bonding with the customer is good too. Make me feel like you care about me and I'll be back because you have my best interests at heart.

Upfront pricing. Just post your best price. I hate spending so much time arguing about prices. I know that the salesman is not going to talk to anyone he makes the decision. That lie always sets me off.
