Yes it is a normal part of the healing process for tattoos to scab, but whatever you do, DO NOT PICK the scab as you could remove the colour...... wait til it's healed properly & go back to your tattooist if you're not happy & he/she will be able to help you. Don't moisturize too much, just follow the instructions your tattooist gave you. Remember - no sun, no swimming, no sweating, these will all affect the way your tattoo heals & ultimately ends up looking

It's normal to have those scabs. Don't pick at them let them fall off on their own. Keep it moisturized you should try it with some A&D ointment. Vitamins A and D are both nessesary for proper skin development and healing! The scabs shouldn't change the apperence of the tattoo. If you want it darker then go back and talk to your tattoo artist after 2 weeks. At 2 weeks the scabs should have fell off or most of them. So good luck with the tattoo!

lose the neosporin its not helping you. Just plain cocoa butter lotion is adequate to keep it moisturized. Even if you dont put anything on your tattoo it will heal fine. As long as you dont scratch it and the scab does not come off early it should not be a problem. Basically baby the hell out of your scab if you dont want to go back and have it touched up. The worst comes to the worst a good artist that did it will usually touch it up for free and you'll be missing a spot of colour where the scab came off.

You should not use neosporin.. you should use burts bees - the scabbing will be fine but DO NOT pick the scabs - if you do that you will pull off the color as well as the scabs.... You can have retouches done after it heals. You won't know if it really needs it until you have healed all the way. Use an SPF sun block during the summer over the tat to help prevent fading. A chapstick with and spf works great because you can just apply it as if you were coloring on your tat...

Oh don't worry about scabbing. The thing that would cause damage would be f you pick at it. So for your own sake do not pick or scratch it. Some tattoos get itchy while healing/scabbing so a scent free moisturizer like aveeno will help out. Also avoid swimming for a while because pool water can be harsh on the healing tattoo and cause it to fade.

That's normal. Keep using the Neosporin and that will help. One of mine had some scabbing and you can't tell. The scab means that you're healing, depending on how long you've been using the ointment you should be able to switch to either an Aloe or Cocoa Butter moisturizer. I'm able to switch after about 4 days of using the ointment and I'm good.
If you're really concerned, stop back where you got it and ask them for their advise, that's what they're there for.

I have 2 tattoos and this is normal for the scabbing. It will stay for about a week and then you will have what is called the onion skin. The top skin will start to peel off. Anytime the tattoo starts to draw you will need to moisturize it. And yes if the color does fade some it can be gone back over with color if needed. I had to do this on one of mine. It faded alittle so after it healed I went back and had it brightened up a little.

Just keep ip the cream to prevent infection. Some scabbing is normal, some scab more than others, I didn't scab at all but I was told to expect it. Sounds normal. If in doubt ring the parlour.
