Can you add some information to your question to say where you are from (country and city/area)? What languages do you speak?

Have you looked on eBay for a very old cheap computer? eBay has websites for many countries (USA, UK, India, etc).

Do you have something that you can sell on eBay to get some money for a computer? See what other people are selling, both old and new things. You can join eBay, place an advert and accept payment by joing eBay's Paypal service.

You can sell a 'service' on eBay in the 'speciality services' section (see links), not just physical goods. See what services other people are selling or think of some new service that you can sell online or in your local area, even delivering parcels from one place to another or painting walls in people's houses.

If you don't have enough money for a computer on your own, you and 3 or 4 friends or family-members could buy 1 computer as a group and then use it at one person's house. Each person would get some time each week. The group could just pay for a computer or for a computer + monthly telephone charges + monthly internet-access charges. One computer with internet access is more useful than several computers without internet acess. You would have access to email and all the free information, software and elctronic books on the internet, online shopping sites, etc.

If you can not find someone to give you a computer, people may give you parts of old computers so that you, or a friend that knows about computer-hardware and electronics, can build a computer. There are many articles on the internet with instructions (see link below). The parts just plug together, but you need a little experience to know what parts to get and what software is needed. It would be good if you know someone that works with computers, such as an' IT Support' person.

Sometimes the articles call a computer a 'PC' (Personal Computer, as in the very old IBM PC).

You need parts such as...

A case with a power supply
A motherboard - the main circuit board with a processor
A monitor
A keyboard and mouse
etc

Sometimes, people have a very old computer from 1995 or before, that works, but is too old to run Windows XP. You can still use it with an old version of Microsoft Windows such as Windows 3.1, Windows 95, etc, and use it for word-processing, running programs and looking at information on CD-ROM or to access the internet using an old version of the Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator internet-browser.

You can run the Linux operating system on a very very old and simple computer. It does not need very much RAM memory or a big hard disk or a fast processor. You can use this to access the internet or to do word processing, photo-editing, reading information, etc, with or without internet access.

If you can get an old simple computer to access the internet, you can use Google word-processors and spreadsheets, etc, on the internet. You use the power of the server computers on the internet. You don't need a fast or powerful computer yourself. You can store files online, so you don't need a big hard disk.

A cheap USB flash drive from eBay can provide a lot of file storage (128MB to 1GB or so) at low cost and is also a good, quick and simple way to transfer a lot of data to/from another computer with internet-access.

Some very old computers can use your ordinary TV as a monitor. Ask someone about 35 years old or more about these old computers.

You can use some old games-consoles as a computer, with the right software. Search on eBay. Ask a question on Yahoo Answer to see which old cheap consoles can be used for internet-access (Nintendo, Sony Playstation 1, perhaps).

To get parts for a computer, you could go to a computer junk shop in your area, search for parts on eBay or put an advert in a newspaper or free-newspaper asking for parts, either for money or donated.

When you have a computer, someone can copy some eBooks files or articles from the internet onto a CD or USB flash drive to teach you about computers, word-processing, photo-editing, etc.

If you look at the last link below, you will see that you can run the Netscape Navigator 2.0 browser to access the internet on a very old cheap computer with an 80386 processor and Windows 95 :-

386 or higher with 4MB Ram (8 recommended), a VGA Display (Super VGA with 256 colours or higher recommended), and at least 6MB of hard disk space, Windows 3.1x, Windows for Workgroups 3.1x , Windows 95 or Windows NT running the appropriate TCP/IP software

Email is enabled in my profile. Let me know if you need any more help. If you say what country you live in, I can look for computers and parts online and organisations that supply old second-hand computers.

Check E-bay or Craigs list in your area for very inexpensive computers.
