Would I have a better chance of getting into Harvard College for undergraduates if I did English Literature (which is higher than regular english as one of my subjects?).
I am going to do Chemistry, Physics, Introductory Calculus, Geometry & Trigonometry, Italian and either English or english literature.
All of these subjects are the highest ones available for me for Year/grade 11. Also, would they (Harvard) prefer I did Italian (language) or a Society and Environment subject such as Geography or history or would they not care? I am extremely good at Society and Environment but the language is more challenging.
What ones should I choose? English literature is harder. I am very good at English. In english literature you analyse pieces. I am not sure whether I would be required to write poems..that is a weakness of mine). Would Harvard care aout undertaking the most rigorous curriculum on offer for me or would they care more about my SAT scores?

The question is: Should I take English Literature or English?
Also, should I continue with Italian or do a society and environment subject such as History?
