it feels like a bunch of bee stings. after about 10 min. the area goes kindof of numb or you just get used to the feeling and it really does not hurt that bad.

over all yes. your question was does tattoos hurt? its simply yes, but some people like pain and well some pain is worse then others... there are certain places that hurt worse then other when getting tattoos. just ask me. bones are real bad places cause the needle drags against the bones. just think about it. the point of the needle scrapping the bone. fat is a bad place as well where there is no muscle. you want a place that is in between. not to fat but not where a lot of bone is shown. thats why that calfs and shoulders are good places for tattoos. think of it this way too, the shape of the tattoo and what u r getting... the longer the lines, the worse the pain will be. because of the fact that they drag the needle. it can also tickle though... i usually laugh more then anything. lots of fun

It all depends on where you're getting the tattoo since some areas hurt more than others. The area you're going to get a tattoo on will hurt due to the area being very sensitive.

I have three tattoos and it felt like I was being stung by bees each time the needles were applied to my skin. At least that's the way it felt to me.

The source link will tell you what you can expect when getting a tattoo.

I got one there on the right side. It hurt but it is not the needle that hurts, it's the great ordeal you make it out to be. I mean, the needle hurts of course, but I made it worse by crying and making it out to be so much more painful than it really was. Don't let pain stand between you and your tattoo. It only took 10 minutes for mine and I get to have it forever.

yeah, not gonna lie, they do hurt..... but, it's not excruciating. My longest session was 3 hrs.....

Everyone has a different opinion on what it feels like.... all I'll say is that it's not like anything you've ever felt before....

Probably a sensitive area there... I got two on my belly & one hurt really bad & the other not so much - explain that one to me...? All I can think of is that the one that hurt was kinda hard to get on the right angle so he had to keep rubbing it off & putting it on again (the stencil) to get it just right....... thinking maybe that tenderized the area maybe...... not sure..... (yeah, same guy did them both)

It hurts as if you're stung by bees for as long as the tattooing process takes place...but after a while you get numb and you get used to the pain. You have to think about it a lot...if you really want it and if you are going to regret it later...if so, don't do it...

Well, a tattoo on your belly or lower hip might hurt if its a bony area. If you get one in a non- bony area its might hurt less.

Depends on where you get it. i have one on my ankle and one on my belly above my hip. The one on my ankle hurt more because the area is bony. The outline hurt mre for me than the colouring. There is a local anaesthetic cream available. You may be able to get some from your doctor.

If you want a tattoo, get a temporary tattoo. That way, if you change your mind, it will at least go away. Removing tattoos hurt more than the tattoo itself and can cost a lot. Also, tattoos can hurt chances of employment in the future.

it hurts like cats scratching fire on your skin. i would recommend another spot if you're okay with the pain. smaller means less needle time and pick a part of your body that doesn't stretch. this means that if you gain weight, get pregnant etc. your tat won't stretch. more than anything, make sure this is what you want. good luck.
