In America youngsters go into school and shoot the place up. In urban areas gangs of thugs hold you up for your wallet. In the South redneck white Christians think bigotry and racism are acceptable. None of these things could occur in Greece which is safer and wiser than the US.
There are, however, left wing political groups who feel they have a grudge - for example a few years ago the US supported an extreme right wing military take over (surprised?) and like to remind the Americans that they cannot assume they are popular. They would never target tourists and are more interested in making a noise than harming anyone.

The "good" thing about Greek terrorists, as opposed to Al Qaeda etc, is that they don't try to kill people. In fact I think they are kind of careful not to. And definitely they don't want to kill passers by, or people irrelevant to the target. Plus these guys are mostly "anarchists"= youngsters who think they are doing something by breaking a window, not really terrorists. That is why Greece is still one of the safest plkaces in the world, for Greeks and tourists alike. (Except for car accidents, unfortunately)!

I am Greek American and I can tell you this is not typical. Greeks may not like American Policy but most Greeks deplore this type of activity. We are Christians not Jerks.

I heard only the bombing of the US embassy. There were no any other comments in the news. But it sounds like a terrorist attack.

And I surprised for this bad event in safety Greece, so sad :(

One tiny window broken, and its an international incident.
we have the highest quality of terrorists in the world.
They actually fight for things they ( and most people) believe in.
They don't murder innocent people, especially the wives and children of the target. One window, whats the big deal?
