my dogs all had kennel cough now thats kinda over we just let it ride now 1 of my dogs has this thing like hell just be sitting there and then jump up well he tryes to breath in and it sounds like hes snorting kinda but longer and 1 of my other dogs did it a little the other day wat could this be please help cuz i really dont have money to bring them and my vet wont do payments hes not thhat caring ???? :O( let me know please cuz it seems like its getting worse he used to do it like once in a while now its like 3-4 times in a row every like couple minutes or so sometimes it dont happen that offten well let me know please thanks

yeah I had two labs and one of them had kennel cough when I got her... and it did have times where it got better then got worse again. I know it sucks but your dog needs to go to the vet, or you seriously risk its life. As for the other one... my older lab actually began copying the puppy and doing the snorting/congested noise you're talking about, so I wouldn't rush that one to the vet, but would monitor them to see if it gets worse... if it does they need to go to the vet too. For now though, seriously, the sick one HAS to go, its life depends on it... call around and try to find a less expensive vet... some vets offer less expensive days on the weekends and such, so just ask questions...

Isn't it maddening? You tell people you don't have $ to pay the atrocious fees of vets and yet all the replies are "Go see a vet". Had the same happen on the same question as yours. "you are cruel "never get another dog" etc. My 10½ year old Lab had the same thing. It scares hell outta you, but be patient. After 3 months of this on/off extremely LOUD cough she got better. If there's no loss of appetite or energy---just be patient.

kennel cough can be a nasty booger. it can go away and get better then come back full force. your dogs need to see a vet. take them to the humane society they often are cheaper than the vet. as for your vet not being that caring. i'm sure they are very caring. they need to pay their staff and keep their business open. and even though you may have full intentions of paying, it's the 100's of people before you that have made your vet have this policy. if this vet saw them for the kennel cough though they may be able to prescribe a med for you without paying the exam fee. but take it easy on your vet. thank all the others that stuck the vet with their thousands of dollars of bills that forced them to take this step. you're vet cares i'm sure. but your vet has a family they care for also and need to provide for.

Your dog sounds like he has some type of congestion. Call or visit a vet ASAP! Vote for me!

find another vet,,, or put your visit on the credit card he needs to be seen - dogs do not get colds
