Speak to your teacher. You need a buddy system - someone with you. This is bullying - but it hurts. It will probably soon die out, but those boys need to understand that it does hurt.
Stop the next guy who does it and say "Ouch! That really hurt? How would you like it if someone did that to you!" And say it out loud enough for everyone to hear. If it doesn't stop, get some support.
BTW _i've always wanted ginger hair!

I know what you are going through. Though I was never really bullied people from an early age seemed to think it was OK to say what the hell they wanted to about my hair, and embarrassing me in front of the entire class. Dont despair, though, I used to hate my hair, but now i LOVE it. Its great being unique, there are billions of blondes out there (no offence to blondes) but a redhead is a fantastic rarity. Ignore what those immature idiots are saying about your beautiful hair, in a short while when they realise what they are misasing out on, you will be fighting them off. They are not worth time in your thoughts, just laugh at them, they will soon get bored. Look back at how many people have answered my questions on redheads and you will understand than most people agree with me. You will always have some comments to deal with, but so do black people, asian people, even blondes have to put up with blonde jokes.
Stay strong my redheaded sister xxxxx

Sorry to hear about the hard time you are having. Have you tried standing up to them? tell them to get lost and hope that they leave you alone. You could try changing your hair colour but at the end of the day why should you? These horrible people will soon get bored of annoying you if you show no emotion when they are bothering you and they will soon move on to some other poor soul.

i have ginger hair my self n i went through the same thing when i was at school n the only advice i can give is to tie your hair up n then wrap it around it self to form a bun shape then secure it with a scrunchie so the boys wont be able to get to it, n it really does get better everyone says my hair is a beautiful colour now, its just stupid immature school boys that make u feel like rubbish but it will be fine when u leave school

First ginger hair is beautiful. Second, these boys are bullies and you should tell your mother to talk to the boys mothers about charging them with harassment. Tell a police officer. I would do that and scare them into leaving you alone. Stand up for yourself. Don't be pushed around by those horrible boys. You are beautiful and don't let anyone try to make you change the color of your hair.

Try and ignore them. If they see they're upsetting you or making you angry, they'll just keep doing it. How old are you? Are you too young to dye your hair? Talk to your mum or dad or sister and tell them you're getting picked on cos of your hair colour. Ty and persuade them to take you to a really good hairdresser and let you have it coloured and cut in a really nice way. Also, remember that bullying, no matter how little it may seem is wrong, and against the law! Alternativly, next time one of the boys does it - kick him in the balls! That's what I did when I got teased at school for having big boobs.

I would suggest dying it but keep in mind, if you do, DONT dye it chestnut. That will give it an orange tinge. I would suggest if you have fair skin, try a chocolate brown with honey, blonde and copper streaks. On the other hand if you have tanned skin, try and go a lighter colour, blonde with brown underneath and mayb some darker blonde foils on top. If your hair is straight try some curls, if curly try straightening it.
Sometime a change does people good, and hey, you never no, you could have better hair than those idiot and then pay them out
Good luck sweetie xoxoxo

First thing: turn round and punch them. It works, at least it did when I tried it!
They'll gow up eventually, but till that happens try either ignoring them or decking them. I got put through hell at school because of having ginger hair. It took till I was fifteen for me to stop hating it, and now I love my hair colour...even though it's fading to brown! Redheads stand out, and just look better than boring brown or blonde-just-like-everyone-else.
Don't change your hair unless you really want to - it'd just let them know they're getting to you. Plus, red hair tends to dye strangely (going by the redheads I know who've dyed theirs - I haven't dyed mine), so going blonde or whatever may not go to plan.
Tell someone about these freaks. You could probably get them in serious trouble - if they do it at school, they get in trouble with teachers, and if it's out of school then it's assault - police time!
And, what kind of insult is 'witless witch'? What's that got to do with anything? If they're going to get into stereotypes, threaten them with the famous redhead temper!

I bet they do that because they like you. Kids are just mean, and if you die your hair, they'll find something else to pick at. I think you should leave your hair as is, but maybe consider putting it up in a bun, or a braided bun--they won't very well be able to pull that. You could probably do french braids with a bun at the bottom if you want. Eventually those boys will grow up (and maybe ask you out :)).

I feel sorry for you. I honestly don't know why ginger people are treated that way. I think it's a lovely unique colour. If you're really desperate though, gradually dye your hair brown. Be careful though, as your roots will show up fast.
