It makes me sad.

It makes me sad that if these men are guilty that what they have done is going to reflect on the Marine Corp and the United States.

I don't know the particulars of the case, none of us do. If they are guilty then they should be held accountable. It is disturbing that one soldier was charged with premeditated murder. I can understand if in the heat of the moment a soldier being faced with the tension of war that it is possible that they may crack and kill a innocent person. I don't think it is right, but I can understand how that may happen. When it comes to someone planning a murder and executing it, I have a real problem with that.

The men and women in Iraq have such a hard mission to accomplish as it it. Something like this makes it that much harder. I can't be judge and jury for these men. I don't know what made them do what they did. All I can say is I hope it doesn't cost our other service personnel to be retaliated against.

I hope justice is served. Whatever that justice may be.

If found guilty, these men will be punished appropriately. Their behavior, if it happened, is an anomaly for US forces. US forces go out of their way, at the expense of their own safety, to prevent collateral damage. Stuff like this always happens in war. War is an ugly thing.

However, although War is an ugly thing, it is not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.
The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

They screwed up
They get punished just like anyone else

You don't get to go on a rampage for any reason....

This kind of conflict is the worst thing for morale since you hardly get to see the enemy that killed your best friend last week.

But you cannot just "go off" no matter HOW BADLY you want to.
It was not right for your buddy to be killed building a school for Kurdish children in Mosul..... and it is not right for anyone to randomly kill someone else in an unrelated revenge.

Hmmm
What are my thoughts on Murder and the murders or enablers?

I'm opposed to it! I'm not very fond of murders or people who stand around and allow a murder to happen.

These guys have a tough job to do, but murdering people isn't one of them. The US govenment bears part of the blame for putting them in the situation that they are facing, but nobody held a gun to thier head and told them to join the military either.

If you Murder....not kill, killing can be an accident or the act of self defense etc. we're talking MURDER!

Well you deserve the worst punishment that the law allows.

disappointing, but i guess killing these innocent people is still more acceptable than the torturing things that happened in different jails, some of them died suffering from torturing things, had their hands cut and many other disgusting things that no human in the world can accept; i guess USA failed to put an eye on all whats happening and to make sure that none of these things happen, but i think that USA didn't really care about these things which is again very disappointing;

they were just the first ones to get caught. The truth is that Americans have the Geneva Convention and Rules of engagement. (NOt Like The Freakin TERRORIST!) So we cant go around doing stuff like that it gives America a "black eye". All the U.S. is doing is making an example out of them.

If they're guilty, hang 'em high.

I have no simpathy for any human being who will take it upon themselves to end the life of another human being without cause.

If they're innocent, the military courts will likely determine it. The treshold for evidence is fairly high, and the way they're judged by their peers is fair.
