You usually know if your hallucinating, you can have auditory halucinations as well as visual and smells. it usually feels sureal or can give u an uneasy feeling. it could also bring up various emotions.
i used to have one of my cat walking around the bed while i was lying in it. i knew wat it was but it was still very weird. if ur not sure if u r hallucinating or not ask someone who will take u seriously whether it seemed realistic or not.

When you actually start believing that politicians do what they do because they have the welfare of the people at heart, it is a sure sign you are into hallucination.

when you see things that couldn't happen.You know there is no way some thing is real.Try staying up for 2 days if you want to hallucinate .
