I can empathise with how you are feeling. I hope you have been to see your doctor and if he has prescribed any medication take it. Slowly you will see in an improvement in how you are feeling and you will come out the other side.
Meanwhile face your demons and then move on. If you have to talk the talk well this could benefit you enourmously but you have to be able to trust the person you are talking to. Preferably someone who is neither a close friend or relative but someone who can be objective that has a good ear to listen and who can offer impartial help and advice.
Eat properly as the right foods can help (green leafy vegtables such as curly kale and cabbage). Also if you live in an area where natural light is not at a premium you could invest in light box. I understand you can buy light boxes that look like a beside lights now. It could be you are suffering from seasonal affective disorder (SAD) and need medication to treat this disorder.
Have you thought of joining a group of like minded people. Search for notices in your local library where these groups often put up notices with contact names and numbers. The Samaritans for example that would be starting point, as they could perhaps signpost you to other organisations.
Finally whilst you feel like dying and think that knowone understands, you must put your faith in someone. Life is so short and it is just awful for you to feel this way, so must gather all of your mental resources and try hard to build yourself up mentally.
All the very best and keep your chins up my dear.
PS Don't worry about other people just now but get the help you need okay...and good luck.

Yes I have wanted to die and I tried to kill myself. Thank the lord I survived. I am dealing now with a eye disease and I am going blind and I want to live. So there is brighter days ahead. You feel the same I did after my suicide attempt. We have a wonderful county behavioral center with great food and great therapists and it helped to rebuild me. In this state if you mention wanting to die you dont go home, you go to a hospital for 50 hour(something like that). It is the law in Calif (so i was told) and i thinks its called 51/50. There is nothing wrong, in fact you should be proud that you are that in tune to your mental health. It is very important to keep a healthy mind and body and I commend for wanting that for your self. It turned out (i was bulimic as well) that I have a serotonin imbalance which is the vitamin you get from sun. My doctor said that is why i get depressed when the days get shorter. It is also common for bulimics to have a lack of serfdom and taking care of this chemical imbalance resulted in a cure for my eating disorder and other medical problems. I think you are on the right track. But If i were you I would find a different therapist. I went to my medical doctor who is very compassionate and intelligent. Find someone that you feel you can trust with your life. Good luck and may god bless you

I am very sorry for you and truthfully your therapist is no good they should listen, get another if you feel really bad if you go to your local phyciatric unit they have people there all the time on duty they will see you and maybe get you the correct help, and no have never wanted to die have at times wanted to give up only for me I have always found a reason to pull myself out of it but that is me everyone is different and yes there are others worse than you only to be honest it is unfair for you to be told that you have a problem that is worrying you so your problem is of great importance to you good luck

Sorry for my bad english, this is my first response in this lenguage.
Why you want to die?
Search a hope, search a boyfriend, search love, search music for your soul. Perhaps you aren´t search anything, if you´ll begin to search something or somebody... you´ll can forgot your feels about suicide or die.
I remember an old, very old song from a group called Queen (yes, the singer was Freddie Mercury), and when I was depressed, I sing it.
It said something as:
Don't try suicide
Nobody's worth it
Don't try suicide
Nobody cares
Don't try suicide
You're just gonna hate it
Don't try suicide
Nobody gives a damn
You need help
Look at yourself you need help (yeah, yeah)
You need life
So don't hang yourself
It's okay, okay, okay, okay
You just can't be a prick teaser all of the time
A little bit attention—you got it
Need some affection—you got it
Suicide suicide suicide bid
Suicide suicide suicide bid
Suicide
And, look at me, my life isn´t very good, isn´t very happy... but, well, eeeerrr... I am here, sometimes I think that I want to die before turning the 40 years (of course, it´s lack a pile of time), but I´m searching, I continue searching a liitle, very little hope.
I remember other song... from my country... when I was a teen... from a group called "Git", (it is pronounced "hit" in your lenguage), if you wanna search a hope... pleaseeee... translate it.
It´s very stupid the lyrics, ok... hahaha... but It´s sweet. I modified it to facilite you the translation, because the are written in a spanish modism of my country.
No hieras mi corazón (Don´t hurt my heart)
Oh nena,
no hieras mi corazon
Cerca suenan
ecos de un tiempo mejor
Si tu quieres te voy a buscar
si me dejas te puedo encontrar
pero nena,
no hieras mi corazon
Tal vez yo pueda enseñarte a sonreir
tal vez nunca tu puedas dejar de sufrir...
Si las cosas estan algo mal
aca yo estoy, te puedo ayudar
pero nena,
no hieras mi corazon
Todo sigue dando vueltas
entre tu y yo
todo parece que si, a veces no
una cosa de ese dia
de que sirve hoy
si ya no puedo
Si tu quieres (quieres)
yo te voy a buscar (voy a buscar)
si me dejas (dejas)
te puedo encontrar (puedo encontrar)
pero nena (nena)
no hieras mi corazon
Bye and be happyyyyy !!!!!

Yes once, very briefly.
I was in a state of deep depression, but thankfully I was still able to think what hurt such a selfish action would inflict on the people that loved me.
I picked my self up and decided then and there that how ever bad things were in my life I would not let them beat me and, Hey! I am still here, and glad of it.
Find some one you can talk to, a counselor is good they listen and are non judge-mental. Your doctor may be able to refer you to some one. Look up help line/ sites for depression on the net there are places you can go. But I assure you heaven is not one of them, you have a full life to lead and when you are old you will look back at your life and be so glad you were able to live it to the full.
I wish you all the best, your life will get better, promise.

I have had the feeling of wanting to die a few times. I have been through some very had times in my life. But each time, I would stop and think about it. What if tomorrow is better? If I killed myself then I would never know what tomorrow is going to be like. Plus, I have a lot of people who love me. Even though it sometimes doesn't seem like it. But if I die..t.hen I will never know just how many people really do love me.

Get a new therapist! If you say that you feel suicidal and think you should be in the hospital, she needs to take you seriously. She obviously doens't know what she's doing. Depression is a seirous illness and should be regarded as such. Day treatment is a great option if you can afford it, if not get a therapist that listens to you when you ask for help!

in view of your most recent question about feeling horny and your first question a couple of days ago about needing someone to talk to, it seems to me that you don't have a very good therapist.
Have you come to 'Answers' as a desperate cry for help?
You mention depression and getting away to a retreat or a hospital so I suspect you are afraid of life, suggesting you have some childhood issues that you have not yet addressed.
If so it is these issues that need to be looked at, whether you have any conscious memory of childhood trauma or not I feel sure that that is the key to your present sense of loss and hopelessness.

Use this sort of thinking to get out your depression:
I have been sent by God for a specific purpose, thought I don't seem to know what it is. Committing suicide is actually trying to evade the duty entrusted to me by God. It is no use trying to fool Him. If I leave this world without fulfilling the duties, I might be sent back again. (It is okay to believe in reincarnation, if it helps you to get out of depression. When you are out of it, you can sit back and laugh at yourself, if you like.) So I am going to face life as it unfolds and react positively to whatever happens in my life. I am sure it is a learning process and God will reward me.
You can also try to divert your mind to the suffering around you and do something to alleviate it. Even your prayers for the welfare of others will make you a better person and you can yourself see the transformation taking place in your mind.
So perk up. Suicide in no answer to any problem.

Starlet 10's reply is good advice!!!
But yes I have...last feb 2006
Whilst I was living in a homeless hostel and felt like there was no where to turn ,I was overweight by 2st,had a hernia, and had to contend with trying to get to my room safely,as the hostel was classed as being one of the worst ( full of druggies, alcoholics and people with extreme mental health problems ).
It was the longest 6 weeks of my life.
But what helped me though it was repeating to myself
"This too will pass "
Nothing stays the same forever be it good or bad.
Stay safe and take care..... things will change soon : )
