I heard and read at lot of places, that Muslim religion is Fastest growing religion of the world. Is it true?

Does it mean that they are growing, because they are most succesful in converting? Or because of their population is increasing due to other demographic, social (Marriages and birth control) reasons?

Whats interesting is that I couldn't come across a proper genuine rational answawer!! Thanks bye the way!

It is not only you who is amused but the historians and critics have also found Islam to be the fastest growing religion since its birth.

The above witness given by the world renowned historians and critics clearly prove that Islam which we see today is not the result of growing by population.

Moreover you can calculate it yourself also. How many years will it take to become 'billions from one Muslim' by reproducing only in less than 1500 years ???

You may also think that Islam's growth was due to forceful conversion.
This is also very untrue.

Moreover since in today's context forceful conversion is out of question, Islam is still growing at a faster rate.

Islam is growing faster than Christianity because Muslims have more children and because Muslims don't accept that anyone can leave Islam, so all the Muslim converts to Christianity are counted as Muslims rather than Christians. There are cases going through Egyptian courts where people are trying to get their registered religion changed from Muslim to Christian and in India many people are suffering under anti-conversion laws and Hindu fundamentalists. Also some young people (especially women) have been forcibly converted to Islam - i.e. kidnapped, raped, forced into marriage with a Muslim man and then counted as a Muslim, and children of these rapes counted as Muslim (This has been documented as happening in various places in North Africa, especially Sudan and northern Nigeria).

Increase of population never means the religious growth.... Prayers and faith increases religious growth. Only Population without education is just like rearing animals.

It's a mix of most of the reasons you mentioned..

and it's only the fastest growing religion in certain countries.. but it is the fastest growing in the world, last time I checked. But there are currently more Christians than Muslims in the world.

the reason is Muslims do not follow family planning & they can have as many wives as they like. i do not know about the conversion. but i don't think they r as sucessful as christians in converting people to their religion.

the "muslim religon" is called islam. and ppl convert to it because once they hear about it and read the quran all their quetions r answered. unlike the bible which has so many un answered questions. also we do have birth control. ( duhh)

it's a complete relgion .... its book is great and was never changed same as the others holy books
