For proof of Intelligent Design, I give you the Human Brain.
Studies, like that done by the University of Michigan, and features in the Discovery Channel program, The Amazing Life of the Human Brain, shows just how amazing the human brain is.
Every second while awake, we are absorbing 40MBs of data per second. That’s 144 gigabytes per hour and about 2 terabytes per day. That’s a lot of data even for the largest computer. When we sleep at night, and only at night or under nighttime conditions, all that data is sorted and stored through the creation of synaptic connectors and biochemical bounds. The brain has enough volume to allow for the creation of these storage connectors to last over 10,000 years.
Without the need of a creator, what evolutionary pressure could cause the need for this much volume that would take that long to fill? Clearly, man was either created by God to live that long, or if evolve, once lived that long, and has since de-evolved to what we are today. Which do you think it is?
Evolution does take place, in that animals have evolved and humans have de-evolved since the time of the creation. Many divergent species are related, such as the Meerkat/Hyena and the Lion/House cat. A house cat can breed with a lion, I wonder if the same is possible the Hyena and Meerkat?
This is why I believe in God. I use the brain he gave me, and designed for me, to determine something beyond imagining.

As a Christian I do not embrace Intelligent Design. It is far to weak. But, at least it is a step in the right direction for open minded scientist. The first to use this term, Albert Einstein c. 1950's, merely tried to describe his idea that there was too much order in the universe for chance to be the biggest player. He theorized that there must have been a designer. There was just too much harmony. It is easily a logical assumption since we have documentation that is agreeably 5,000 years old that stated God created everything. It would be foolish today to ignore such historical evidence in light of the fact that nearly half (45%) of scientist polled (1998 NYT) do not believe in evolution. Evolution is a very popular theory, and has been for many years. But the facts remain-there is no evidential support for evolution, only speculation-and lots of it. More supposition only makes it a bigger, more complex theory, not more solid.

Evolution holds, fairly vehemently that each thing in existence advanced because their arose a want for the aspect. operating example, quicker or later you per chance had 4 palms and no thumb, you necessary reversable thumbs so that you advanced to now have thumbs. Evolution won't be able to state WHY we advanced interior the first position on account that their replaced into by no skill a want for human beings...or for that be counted, why replaced into their a want for that one-celled amoeba? sensible layout states that you're the following for yet an additional reason...the most familiar social gathering is the interest ball. there is no reason so you should have them, a lot less 2, yet you do! We see coloration! Why? there is no want, on account that maximum another creature in the international won't be able to see better than effortless black and white, or in simple terms fuzzy shapes, and they have been the following for thousands of years without problem. Animals have sex out of nessicity, we've sex because we savour it - subsequently condoms and abortions.

Disagree: no designer. There's no way to convince you of anything my friend, as it looks like you already have an opinion and believe it's the right one;)

As with all other explanations of nature, I take the best and leave the rest.
I believe that intelligent design is the best explanation for our existence because of the numerous moral lessons that can be found in nature. I don't believe that nature itself has cognizance to design these moral lessons, they therefore had to have been placed there by a primary designer.
I reject most of the gesticulating of Creationism and Intelligent Design, but the premise is certainly reasonable.
(I prefer to call it "premeditation".)

Disagree. Because basically, scientists came up with a brilliant idea that disagreed with religious doctrine. So in retaliation, some Christian guy said "Wait! We can still say that God did it!"
So no matter what we do to contradict religion, they'll come back and say "God did that too".

If a machine is intelligent or not is not a question of prove. It is a question of believe. living beings are just constructions of nature. even if there would be a god, than god is nature and nothing changes. again, to say that a living being is intelligent or just follows patterns like a machine is a philosophical question and depends on what you want to believe.

We were all uniquely designed for a purpose in life. Just like cars and planes were designed for a function. If we weren't then there will be no point in human existence - does it really matter if we all live or die.

Sorry, but the argument that life is so complicated that someone must have designed it just doesn't make sense to me. Especially as those who espouse ID also tend to be young earthers too. They seem to be happy to link the two, yet evidence tells us that the earth is billions of years old.
