Tape record the sound of the slamming. Play the tape for her and tell her it must stop immediately. Tell her if she keeps slamming doors as a habit, the tape will be used as evidence in court.

I have the same problem with my neighbour (sister), who are awake at night & asleep by day making a terrible racket slamming their front door and stomping up the stairs.
They even had the audacity to complain that we were too loud during the day and spoiling their sleep!!
To date their noise has only gotten worse (fuelled by drug taking & alchohol), and they seem oblivious to anything outside of their home.
As it's family involved we are wary of a petty feud arising from this situation, so are awaiting advice from the local council on what we can do about it....

I had a really annoying neighbour who used to have his TV turned up really loud and after several polite requests were ignored I went round and borrowed two 700 watt extra bass loudspeakers and a power amp from a DJ friend, stuck some nosebleed hard techno on, put the speakers facing against the wall and every time his TV went on so did my techno..FULL BLAST!! He soon got the hint.

Say, worridly, that you've heard about an escaped maniac with a sniper rifle who picks his targets by the ammounts of noise they make after dark. Then sit at your window with a laser sight and wiggle the little red dot around.
It might get you arrested, but at least then you won't be next door to her...
Or maybe just tell her you'll report her if she goes on.
Or buy dogs that bark all through the night.
Buy earmuffs?
These solutions aren't cheap are they?

Last year I had a neighbor that was absolutely ruthless. She lived right below me, and she loved to slam that door. not only did SHE love to slam it, but all of her 80,000 friends/children/drug clients/whoever that she had coming in and out of the apartment all the time always slammed the door. She had particular friends would would come over and for whatever reason stomp up and down the steps in the breezeway repeatedly several times in a row, for what purpose I have no idea, other than pissing people off. There were times when she would slam on her way out and start stomping, so I would step out into the breezeway and yell at her something to the effect of "What the f*ck is your malfunction?!?" and she would just laugh, not considering for a second how rude she was being. She would play a stereo in her bedroom (and ofcourse, directly under mine) at any time of the day. she would have it on all night, so I couldn't sleep, and then the next day when i would try to take a nap during my lunch break from work, she would have it on again. I would stomp on the floor to get her to stop, sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't. I kept a journal of all her sh*tty behavior, and started making complaints to the manager. I started calling the cops too. One night she woke me up god knows what hour at night with her music on in her bedroom, and you could hear people in the room laughing and screaming. I called the cops, and once they showed up I could hear them banging on her door for 15 MINUTES before she finally heard them over her music and went to the door!! Then the girl had the nerve to come up to my apartment and tell me that if she was makin too much noise I needed to come down and tell her instead of stomping or calling the cops. I told her where the f*ck she could stick it and that she needed to get out of my f*ckin face cause I'm not getting out of my bed at 2 in the morning and crawling down to her apartment in my houserobe so she can stop doing something that she ought to know is not acceptable by now.
She finally got kicked out after numberous police reports and complaints from me and everyone else in the surrounding apartments. Some people, just will never understand common courtesy, so if telling them to their face how disruptive they're being just goes in one ear and out the other, there are always the cops! use them!

If your in an apt complex, in your lease, it says somewhere, that you have a right to live in a peaceful dwelling undisturbed by other tenants....Not exactly written in those words but you get what I mean. Tell the landlord or apt manager, and get them to make her stop....I agree with the recording of the noise, present that to the management, or the police. It is one thing random acts of kindness, but kissing an annoying neighbors @ss to get them to be more courteous is ridiculous.... You pay rent, why have to put up with that crap....

We tend to think of dog training as a series of steps for teaching particular behaviors. To teach a dog to stay in a particular position, you reward her as she remains in place for gradually longer times, at gradually greater distances, with gradually increasing degrees of distraction. Read more https://tr.im/SIjnC
Now, this is fine, training does involve teaching dogs specific behaviors with a step-by-step approach. This week, though, I’m going to discuss three mental habits that will not only enable you train more effectively but also make life pleasant for both you and your dog.
