Here are some free image editing programs. Try several or all of them. You just may find that between a few of them you can do all you need to, and stay legal as well!!

Hmmm... Adobe might have free trial versions, but, they are either:
a) Time-limited (30-day trial), or
b) Functionally limited (Not allowed to apply more than 2 layers, even can't save!!!)

Otherwise, ask a friend, or use like P2P file sharing (but downloading copyrighted material or ways to circumvent authorization or security measures, such as serial numbers, cracks, is frowned upon, however.)

if you want trial version , head for adobe.com otherwise download the full version using some p2p software like limewire.
