First of all, law requires that any law enforcement vehicle making an enforcement stop, have a steady RED light pointed at the driver. So, if you see a blue light, then I'm thinking that it is not a police officer.
Lets say you did see a red light behind you, and you don't stop. This is called failing to yield. You would be cited or arrested for this, despite any arguement you have, short of being taken hostage.
Next time you post a question, slow down a bit and try typing whole words and phrases, so that people can understand you.

Yes, stop and pull over. If it was an ambulance then they go past easier. If it was police and they want YOU then you pulled over for him and if he didn't want you then he can pass easier. The law changes depending of where you are but often you are required by law to basicly GET OUT OF THE WAY or PULL OVER when emergency lights are around. If you pull over then all is ok (with the pulling over).
There is some danger with pulling over if it is not a real officer. Be carefull but even if you were scared they can still bust you for not pulling over. YES THEY CAN. However if you can display "reasonable" cause or something that you were scared etc etc then a judge may let you off, MAYBE. But don't fight, attack, get rude at, be disruptive with an officer because you dissagree. The disagreement part is for a judge, ok.

This must happen to you a lot when you're out driving - maybe that's why you posted the same question twice?
IMHO - it depends which dark road (the entrance to Sandringham?), how fast, what time of the day or night, whether there is enough room for the following vehicle to pass, how long the following vehicle has been following you and how quickly it approaches from behind.

Depends on the individual situation. I think if you explain yourself reasonably then they should show the same consideration. Life is as simlpe as someone's mood at that time put them in the right mood. I think you have a fair case as it could be anyone pulling you over then steal your car etc. I say keep driving, be reasonable but stop when sure. Make them feel all powerful the fuzz love it.

If your alone you can stop at the next public place. If you have a mobile you can phone the police operator and they will tell the police pulling you over what you are doing or send help out if it's not a real police car.

You pull over to the nearest well lit area in which you feel safe. If the officer ask you why you did not pull over when ya saw the ligthts you tell him you wanted to make certain it was really an officer-ask him/her for their ID-do not put your window down any further than amybe the length of your little finger until they show you their ID. Especially at night you have that right to question their identiy-if they will not show you their ID then you ask for them to call their immediate supervisor to come and explain to them you will be more than happy to at that time step out of your car. Just to be safe pull over the the verge so then if they want to talk to you they can and also if they just want to get passed to go to a emergency you should pull over alwell os this is the best option to take!
ALSO IN ANSWER TO YA QUESTION YOU CAN TELL BY THE LIGHTS IF THEY ARE COMIGN FROM THE ROOF THEY ARE POLCIE BUT IF COMING FROM THE CAB IF THE BAD OR JUST THE GRILLS THEN IT COULD BE HOUX SO JUST TRY AND WORK OUT IF IT IS.

If the police want you to stop they will draw up alongside and wave you over. If was late at night (after 2300) they are not allowed to use sirens in a built-up area unless absolutely necessary. They probably wanted to pass, otherwise you would have been chased and arrested for failing to stop when requested to do so.

Stop in an area you feel safe if you have a cell phone you can call
911 and they will let you know if it is a officer-just don't try to speed away.
