When visiting Paris would you stayat Hotel Plaza Athenee or Hotel De Crillon?

The reason for the question is that I am goning to Paris and I will stay at a luxury hotel. So I want to know which one of the 2 is the best.
Atheene has 2 restaurants with Michelin stars, one with 3 stars (19 points in Gault Millau) and one with 1 star. Crillon has 1 restaurant with 1 star. So Atheene seam to be better from a culinary point of view. But I want to know which one is the very best from a luxurious point of view.

well having lived in paris for a year, i can tell you that both picks of hotels are preety good. They're both located near the champs elysees as well as near the louvre , not too far away from the eiffel tower and the musee d;orsay as well. They're both located in the same district and just a few streets apart from each other. So at this point, your best bet is just to figure out the costs of both hotels but regardless of which one you chose, you won't be missing much on location. Good luck!
and btw, in regards to the last message posted, just because you have some stereotypical issues with the french and are too ignorant to see the beauty in their country and culture as well as the aspects that they seem to have mastered that you might be lacking in, does not give you the right to call them damn frenchies!!

My humour is to say with Paris Hilton of course.

But if you want to stay in nice places then give Paris a miss as it is expensive, the people arrogant and the City is the Pits. Definitely not what all the publicity raves about.
Camaruge as one other has suggested should be your choice it is really beautiful and offers far more for the visitor than Paris could ever do. Make Paris a day stop for the Louvre and the Tower and even The elyesse' and get out ASAP and get into the rural areas . These are the most beautiful places in France.

it depends on your travel purpose
Crillon is in the central and by the Blvd Champsee Lysee
the shops and cafes there are typical and great for a luxury tour
by the way, be careful when taking metro 1 where there are quite a few thievs, some are even just kids!
Bon Voyage!
