I'm a big fan of Chinese culture. I revel in the thoughts of Lao Tseu and Confucius. I find the martial arts traditions fascinating. I love Chinese symbology, with the dragons representing the people, coming out of the water, just as the rain grew rice to feed the people. I think the I ching is a fascinating book, to be explored under all its facets. I like the idea of Chi, how it relates to the world, and how it is liberated from the rigid categories of the western world. I like the persistence and timelessness of China.
There is so much more... But yes, Chinese culture has broadened my horizons a lot and I have learned much from it and continue to learn. I am very grateful for its existence and remain in awe of the accomplishments of the Chinese people and civilizations over the glorious centuries of their existence.

I woudln't say I love it, but it is a very interesting and beautiful country. I love the buildings and rich history. My favorite thing about China (being a Westerner) is the shopping! I don't care if the things are fake are not, what bargains!!!
My favorite place had to be the Summer Palace. It was beautiful. The great wall was amazing, too. I actually climbed to the top! :)

nope. no love here.
I respect the history.
I dont respect the government or how it does things. Nobody likes liars.
I could respect it more if China learned how to let people be free and if not allowing opposition parties, still allowed people to see the internal debate process for real, instead of creating bullshit lies and deception.
