Yikes!
Do not use mouthwash or alcohol or vinegar on your dog's ears.
Please buy some ear cleaning solution from your vet or a pet supply store. You can find them online even.
You will put a squirt of it in the ear, rub the ear well and then let the dog shake it's head. That clears the ears out.
Depending on the breed, you should do this once a week or once a month or every 3 months. Some dogs are more prone to problems than others.
Good luck!
Oh, I just saw you have a boxer. Clean it's ears once a month. Dogs that have shorter muzzles have different head configuration than a normal dog. Therefore the ears tend to build up wax more frequently.

I am not sure why your boxer would need its ears cleaning let alone scrubbing other than if it had some sort of discharge. I have had friends with boxers and several other types of loppy eared dogs myself and the only time any of them had a problem was when one had a discharge due to some sort of ear infection and a trip to the vet soon had that fixed. I would suggest that you consult a vet to see if there is some underlying problem causing whatever it is that you want to scrub off.

don't put alcohol or anything like that in your pets ear. it burns. if your dog has dirty ears there's a reason for it and you need to take the dog to the vet. if it's just dirt and just needs to be cleaned the vet has a safe simple and cheap cleaner there. do what your vet says. treating ears at home will cause more injury if there is a problem. the dog's ear canal takes a 90 degree turn and there's no way you can get all of the home remedy out of there. take your dog to the vet.

I just use saline solution to clean my dogs ears. I have never had a need to use mouth wash or vinegar. If your dogs ears smell you might want to go to the vet he may have a ear infection. the ear will be red inside too. Good luck

I used to breed boxers. They used to play by dragging each other through the dirt, so they got very dirty ears. I used a damp soapy washcloth during bath time and baby wipes during other times to clean the outer part of the ear. The vet cleaned their ears throughly when they got their teeth cleaned and nails trimmed.

you could use a diluted peroxide solution, perhaps warm....
you could use a syringe (no needle) to spray the solution in there, but do it gently....
thats what i used to use on my ears, so i know it is safe for humans...
also, gentle Q tips might work..i dunno though.
