CP is permanent damage to the brain and cannot be "cured". With the help of physical therapy, muscles can be trained to behave as normally as possible and there are other methods in the medical field to try to help the muscles development. A neurologist can do an assessment to try to determine if your child has CP and order a CT scan if necessary. Physical therapy is a huge key to helping a child in early years. Our 3 yr old twins were both dx with CP and we have been treating it for 2 years and their prognosis is good.

Talk to your doctor about the walking. But as far as the writing goes, that's pretty normal for left hander's. I'm a lefty and so is my son. We both wrote mirror image when we were little. I remember doing it, and remember how it felt more natural. Also, some right handed kids do the same. BUT you say he's 3. And he can already write letters?! That's great! I wouldn't worry about it at all at this age! Sounds like you have a very bright child!
