I am going to Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) on Wednesday and was wondering do you take your urine test the first day you are there or the 2nd? And any other information or tips would be helpful. Thanks.

I did tell me recruiter. I'm just worried about pot. But he told me thats not disqualifying. At the same time I rather just not have it show up. I bought de-tox stuff, but it only works for up to 5 hours. So I am trying to time it up...

I joined the army twice and the first time i went in we did it the first day, the second time i went in we did it the second day, it all depends on what time you get there the first day. If you are afraid of pissing hot, let your recuiter know. Its best to wait a few days to clean your system than to piss hot and have to wait 90 days. By telling your recuiter he can help you. He wont turn you in or nothing like that.

You will take the urinalysis on the first day that you are there. Generally, you are there only one day unless they need to keep you a second day to examine you more for some specific reason.
Marijuana use is not a disqualifier for enlistment, if it was in the past. However, they will disqualify you from enlisting for I think 6 months to a year if you test hot for marijuana while you are at MEPS.
Only other tip I can give you is to bring along some reading material if they let you. Find out from your recruiter if the MEPS station that you are going to allows people to bring in MP3 players or whatever else. Some stations do not allow any of that.

You're going to take several. You should have had one already during the physical they gave you, and you'll have another one some time in the first 2 weeks upon arrival. The medical screening is the second thing you do (housing is the first).
If you smoked pot, you're screwed. Expect to pop positive, and expect to return home in about 4 or 5 weeks.
It's called "zero tolerance". Sorry. No room for druggies.

Unless you are joining the Army, a positive urine test is disqualifying. You can buy a home test at Wal-Mart and test yourself. Or your recruiter may have a test at the office.

You will take a urine test at MEPS and another one at bootcamp. If you are positive, you will be kicked out of the armed forces. Is it worth it?

well the first day, but if you did drugs it wouldnt matter what day because it stays in your system for a long time, something like 2 months....another thing, DONT JOIN THE MILITARY. IT SUX TRUST ME IM IN IT RIGHT NOW. Just go to college or sumthing its alot better than were im at.

If this is the screening right before you ship out to basic it's hit or miss. But if this is your preliminary screening then tell you recruiter that you want to reschedule.

don't risk it, just wait a month, they need people, the recruiter can wait it out
