I need a good remote for once in my life. I have probably spent over $200 on various universal remotes that SUCKED. I have a few questions about the Harmony 550 (not the most recent one) for those of you who might have it.
-Is it a learning remote?
-Can I hook it up to my computer?
-How fast does it send the command after the button is pressed? (any pause?)
-Can I create my own buttons? (my cable box remote has A, B, and C buttons that I HAVE to have)
-What is the screen for?

Thank you :D

I'll answer the questions list first...
it is a learning remote...
yes it does connect to your computer for programming and new features...
there is no pause except for macro commands (commands that execute multiple actions...
yes you can make your own buttons...
the screen helps increase the functionality of the remote making buttons you dont use for device disappear. the buttons you create also can appear there....

it is a very good investment if you have numerous devices and are tired of using four different remotes just to watch a dvd
