I haven't been in a realationship for a while. How do I present myself in confidence without seeming arrogant or head strong?

Be yourself. If a woman falls in love with a guy, it should be because of who he really is, not how he is presenting himself. ;-)

Confidence is a posture, a head held up, a steady walk. It's attitude without an attitude. Be yourself. Be direct and make eye contact when you are talking with her. Compliment something you like about her, don't check her out while she is looking at you and have respect for her. These will get you noticed in a good way! Have fun!

Have positive posture & body language (avoid slouching and crossing arms).
Have positive facial expressions, like smiling or relaxing your facial muscles, unless the situation calls for a different emotion.
If you touch her, do it firmly but not roughly, like a good handshake.
Dress nicely, and be clean.
Make eye contact.
Speak loud enough for her to hear every syllable. (Avoid mumbling, trailing off, or shouting.)
Ask her questions; get her to talk about herself.

You don't have to completely hide your anxiety or shyness; she might be flattered by it. She might like shy guys.

Just be yourself. If you try to act any other way other than your normal self than once she gets to know you better she will know that you were being disingenuous when she first met you.

Be honest... don't be cocky, but don't downplay your abilities and strong points. Little things like looking her in the eyes will show confidence also. Be firm in your views and opinions, but don't belittle hers. Opening doors and other "gentleman" behavior show (in my opinion) that a man is comfortable being a man, and respects me as a woman. Make sure the conversation is 2 sided... nothing worse than a man that talks like he knows all and never lets her get a word in.
