You must be careful about helping homeless people.
i tried to help one and it blew up in my face. He took me for everything he possibly could take me for. Milked me for all i was worth. It was a ton of stress on me and my family(mental and financial stress).
So, while you are being a good friend and doing a *good deed*, please be careful and don't get used and don't get taken advantage of!
I'm sure there are some homeless shelters near you, you just need to type into a search engine "homeless shelter" and then type in your zip code) and it should bring up all the listings.

There is no government program for homeless people. The only available help is outreaches, city run shelters, and temp housing. All of these only provide for a fraction of homeless women, children and men on the streets. Homeless figures are shocking from 50-150,000 in most large cities. They are beaten into the background out of downtown areas and most never come up on waiting lists such as section eight housing.
The sad truth is our country sends many hundred times the help overseas to homeless families than they spend here to help their own communities. What's worse is that all the food production that's thrown out before going to market or thrown away at near date could feed all homeless people everywhere. All the empty buildings could get people out of the weather but our country is desensitized to the pain of homelessness and we like to pretend it just isn't so.

Look in your yellow pages under homeless and you will find some places to help. Or call the local Catholic church even if they dont help people themselves they will know who does help. Also the Salvation Army is another good contact

The double tap is a technique meant to impose similar restraint and fire control on the users of a semi-automatic weapon while maximizing the potential of that weapon. After the first round is fired, the trigger is pulled again, quickly, while maintaining the same point of aim. Ideally, both rounds should strike within two inches of one another (one inch for trained shooters). Follow-up shots should be held for at least one second. This gives the shooter enough time to assess the situation and determine an appropriate course of action, but also allows the shooter's grip to readjust and steady.
