has to be clean, esp toilets, safe is very important, girls dont like places where a fight breaks out every 5 mins.
i think dress code should be casual, but thats just personal. I hate places where all the girls have half nothin on them and look trashy, but maybe guys would like that lol
as for music, everyone has different tastes, so maybe have friday nights being hip-hop, sat nites being dance, sundays being something else etc...
also dont let the place get too packed, thats a big turn off when you can barely move, and have good air conditioning too, cos its not good when a place gets too hot inside.
And depending on what country this is, if theres a smoking ban try have something else u can mask the smell of BO with, and if thers no smoking ban, have good ventilation so the place doesnt become too smoky.
Have cocktails, some girls dont like beer and prefer the sweeter drinks
thats all the tips i can think of rite now, good luck
oh and one more i just thought of haha...have friendly staff

The place would have to be clean for one. A D.J. is best. A great dance-floor with nice lights. Good, soft, flattering lighting. No dress code. A mix of music. No rap... it's too hard to dance too. Make sure there is a bouncer. Make Thursday nights ladies night... where women get drinks for 1/2 price.
I think that a 50's pin up or retro theme would be cool too. Then you can name it a cool name like... Cool Cat Jim's or whatever.
Host themed parties too like... 70's flashback where everyone is invited to show up wearing 70's clothes, etc. once in a while. Be creative and change it up a bit.

In detroit there is a place called St.Andrews hall,, on some nights they have concerts and others its a club called three floors of fun and on each floor there was different music like one techno one metal and so on,,, ladies were free up until a certain time and there should be a HUGE bathroom with couches and stuff cuz sometimes you just need a place to rest with out men keep approaching you saying "whats up baby why you look so down" and all you want to do is throw up ontheir shoes and punch them in the face..

Well I am 31. and I don't like bars that have 18 year olds in them , no offense, there is just less confusion. I like DJ and not live music. You got to have drink specials. You need security that is noticeable, safety is a big issue. The dress code should be not dressy and not tennis shoes either. It has got to be cool and comfortable. Play a variety of music like r&b, pop, hip hop. Provide inside and outside mingling like a patio.

First off-what kind of people do you want to attract?
What part of the country do you live-its all about location.
Do you have promoters?

i don't go to bars or "clubs" because i have grown out of that phase. it's tacky to see a 35 y/o acting like she is 25. i used to go to bares and clubs, with friends. dirty gross bathrooms, and expensive drinks chases people away. and crappy music.
