well your first problem is you have a pit outside. they are not meant to be outdoor dogs. their fur cannot support changing temps. the changing fur could be normal, depends on her age. sometimes it will turn brown if she has a bladder infection and is urine stained. and if the weather is ever changing that could affect her eating habits. if it contines on, or she starts acting different other ways take her to the vet. and please bring her inside. pits are not meant to be outdoors. these poor dogs have enough trouble, without being left outdoors in changing temps.

The change in fur color may be due to normal changes or the weather, but no dog should be left outside 24 hours a day.

In particular, she must not be chained or in a kennel 24 hours a day. Dogs on chains and in kennels, believe it or not, are among the most likely to kill people.

It could be urine or fecal staining. Try giving her a bath to make sure that it isn't just stain. Sometimes the staining can be very convincing as a color change. If it washes out then it is the level of proteins in her food that is causing the problem. A change in diet may or may not correct the problem.

"If you are worried about her eating, let the neighbourhood kids play with her." what a stupid answer why bother writing anything at all?........... what if they dont even have kids next store then what kind of sence dose your post make none at all....... my advise too you bring your dog inside train her a little like if you dont want her on the furniature and stuff because i dont think dogs should be outdoor dogs exspecially pitbulls they need as much human contact as possible or your dog will be sterio typed ahemmmmm by verry stupid people... and if you dont want the dog indoors your dont want a dog so she needs too be with people that want that responsibalty why get a animal and keep it outside? I do see that you obviously care about the dog but bring her inside.

How old is she ? Because just like a human dog's hair can grey and change as they get older. My dog had black hair as her normal coat color. As he got into her 10's and up into her teens she started to get grey spots.

it is as normal as a babies hair changing color as they get older.
have you ever had any other dogs that you took pics of from puppy to adult dog if so look at them and see if you can see the difference in there hair some times its little changes and some times its meager changes.

why did you buy a dog just to keep her outside. that's no way to treat a dog. if the weather changes back and forth, she can get sick. take her to the vet, and if you can't keep her inside, find someone who can take care of her.

It is caused by the iron in her saliva. When air comes into contact with the saliva, the iron in the saliva oxidizes(rusts). Its basically what happens to metal when you leave it out in the rain.
