Sometimes dealerships offer a $3000 minimum trade-in on vehicles, but my car is a salvaged vehicle that my husband repaired for me. Can it still be traded-in (in Wisconsin)?

You'll have to ask. Most dealers will take a salvage titled vehicle in trade but won't offer full value for it.

Read the fine print on those ads. They often require a "clean" title which means that a salvage title won't qualify for the advertised amount. Don't forget that those "guaranteed" trade-in values are a come-on. They'll make up the difference somewhere in the deal if your trade is worth less.

You can trade it in, and they "might" give you the minimum, but only after you agree to buy a car for a price that's $4,000 over what the price would be without the trade.

It's usually a come-on, and even if you don't mention atrade-in when you cut the deal, once you bring it up, they will have a perfect excuse not to accept it at minimum trade-in - it's a rebuilt vehicle. The dealer knows he can easily fix the title, but he'll use your ingnorance to rip you off.

You can try it, though. Just don't sign ANY papers until you get the total on paper.

The vehicle ID should flag the dealer that the car is salvaged. Just try it, the worse they can do is reject it. Unless you have to sign something that can comeback and haunt you later, like someone dying as a resort of the car being salvaged.

Yes . as long as you have the salvage paperwork it is still a legally owned vehicle that can be sold or traded.

A salvaged vehicle is purely properly worth scrap value in 37 states! As a qualified motorized vehicle broker, i might ought to teach you down, because of the fees I surely have in getting a vehicle towed over to the boneyard! purely take it on your scrapyard, so they are in a position to recycle it! they are going to provide you $50.00, besides! they could furnish to p.c.. it up. yet, the value negates your $50.00! And, in maximum states, no tag for ten days gets you an invaluable!

You can but, you are better off trying to sell the vehicle to another private party if you are looking to maximize the revenue. They will use the "salvage vehicle" term to devalue your car.

most of the time its a donation and you are receiving a tax deduction off the blue book value of that car but really that is regulated by the state. but to answer your question as long as it runs and is in good condition the dealer ship might take it you have to ask the dealer ship.
