I'm not that open of a girl, and pretty shy.. unless i know you really well and I'm not much of a conversationalist.. it's pretty hard to find things to talk to me about.. unless you're really good at talking about anything..

recently this guy friend of mine, who I was so counting on to go to Jr Prom with me, has asked this girl out. Meaning that probably they are going to get to gether and therefore he wont be able to go as my date...

I've been trying to find a decent date, but the thing is, Ive wanted to go with someone i KNow i'll have a good time with. and i cant think of or find anyone that will

i'm shy ans scared that if i go alone no boys will ask me to dance or whatever and i'll just be standing/sitting there. My group of girl friends dont have dates, but that does not make me feel much better...

main thing is to go......if you have fun everyone around you will have fun regardless, friends or a date. If having a date will give you more confidence and you know a male friend that lets you be you that is the one to ask...Dress up and go and you will have a good time !!
Everyone has all the same feelings as you. they just want to have a good time also . Everyone feels special no matter with girlfriends or date...
As far as what to talk about. Guys are more comfortable talking about themselves and what they like. That brings them out of their shell .

I know that it sucks to not have a date since I didn't have one at my Jr. prom (which was last year), but I really had a good time with just a group of friends. Its kool cause you don't have to worry about entertaining someone else you can just dance the night away and you'll be able to dance with whatever guys you want during the prom.

You should just go with friends. Then you can dance with whoever you want and you'll have much more fun that way. Trust me. I wish I only went with friends for my Jr. prom.

No way. If I ever went to a prom, I'd go with my friends. We don't need dates to have fun.

If you are that shy, just go with your girlfriends because if you went with a guy it'll only be weird. You two would just be staring at each other

Don't go just for the sake of going. In a few years it will mean absolutely nothing in your life.
