I Love trick questions....
Yes... you Gained the weight of the Water added to the weight of the food you ate.. And its processed by your body. But the water will not add any body fat and will leave quicker than most people think.
If you don't puke from all that water at once will be a miracle its self.
If you finished the meal and 30 mins later drink a 8 or 12 oz bottle of water then drink a bottle of water ever 2 hours after til you Sleep your body will like it.
6 to 8 glass a day includes soda, beer, water, wine etc... More water the better.. Math : in 24 hours- 8 hours sleep = 16 divided 8 glasses = every 2 hours
Very Good question...

Drinking water is a healthy practice. But don't forget to replace your electrolytes, you lose electrolytes when you drink excess water you lose electrolytes. Since you are trying to lose weight, drinking gatorade is not a good idea as it contains more calories. Try Powerade option or propel, low calorie and low carb sports water to replace the electrolytes.
If you really want to lose weight and stay healthy, try to drink 6 glasses of water ( 1.5 liter ) as soon as you get up ( the first thing in the morning ). Water cures many diseases.
To tell in my own words, I personally experienced and benefitted from this technique. I was suffering from high cholesterol, Doctor had adviced me to stop consuming all the dairy products and saturated fats. Anyway, medication was not that helpful in reducing the cholesterol. I was getting frustrated, as I love dairy productss and junk food.I accidentally visited the following website while browsing. I read an article about the advantages of drinking a liter of water immediately after getting up in the morning, everyday. I discontinued taking the medication, and started drinking a liter of water every morning. Results were astonishing, within just two weeks the level of the cholesterol in my blood was reduced to normal. In addition my appetite increased and my health improved drastically.
Well, drinking water alone doesn't help reduce the weight. You need to cultivate healthy lifestyle and healthy diet apart from drinking water. Walking is very effective in reducing the weight. Walk at least four to five miles a day.
Visit the following websites and know more about water therapy and its benefits. Give it a shot, you got nothing to lose. Good luck!!!

To begin with, no one asked how large the steak was you were eating or what if any vegetables you were having with it to see how much weight you would be putting on or how much Pepsi you were drinking. Everything is in moderation. Everyone will say drinking Pepsi is bad for you yet almost everyone drinks soda of some kind. You are not over weight now. You are active. If you were forcing yourself to drink the water then yes, it would be too much. You should spread it out over a period of time so it will give you better results. It will actually help to relieve your hunger pains for your next meal so your consumption of food is reduced.
Apparently you are concerned about your weight enough to ask this question so you know enough to watch your food consumption and what kinds of foods are good for you. Eat your salads also big guy and you'll be fine.
Now keep drinking your water cause I'm getting a Pepsi!
Good luck!

It's just going to make you go to the bathroom. You ate a steak and a coke, honey. You're not going to lose weight. If you drink five bottles of water at once, you will feel bloated. Stretch it out throughout the day.

Um, interesting question. Water won't cause someone to gain weight, although if you drink 5 bottles of water after eating, you might feel bloated and like you gained weight. Drinking plenty of water with a healthy diet will help maintain weight, and possibly may assist in losing some weight.

I have found that you can lose weight no matter what you eat. Mind that you must avoid cokes all together. Only drink water and the occasional glass of mild for calcium and Vitamin D. Im not a nutritionist, but I did lose over 60 pounds using this method along with an excercise routine. Good luck.

Water will never make you gain weight! It helps your body do everything, including digest that steak! Aso, there was probably salt on the steak so you need more water to offset that. (The steak is probably better for you than the Coke, by the way!) Drink water instead of soft drinks and your body will thank you.

WARNING: too much water at once can kill you, as did a woman recently (in a water drinking contest):
http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/13/woman-dies-of-water-intoxication-after-radio-contest/
Drinking water is good, althoug 5 bottles (at once) is too much. Better spread it over the day. Stay away from the coke! There's much sugar in it. Which is never good to lose weight.
Water is a good substitute for refreshments like coke, but if you do them both then there's no advantage.
Steak: my doctor told me to eat no more than 100 grams of meat a day. 100 grams is enough for normal people.
If you're overweight: doing (more) sports or bike and walk a lot will do a good job. Bike to your work instead of taking the car.
