because they simply don't believe in anything strongly enough to be willing to kill or die for it.

No, not really... I think *most* atheists would die for their children.

Ever hear of the United States Constitution?

Freedom of Religion
Freedom of Speech
The Right to Bare Arms

Here in America I believe in those enough that I would be willing to lay my life on the line so you could keep believing whatever religion you want and say what you want.

I doubt very few Theists would be willing to die for me so I could keep being an Atheist.

Pacifist by nature? Perhaps, I will never bring harm to someone who has not dis-respected me. If you dis-respect and harm me or someone I love, I will return as much if not more harm to you.

I guess Mao and Stalin, revolutionaries who maintained atheist hardlines against religious practice, were really pacifists in disguise.

Not, Atheists have committed some of the most barbaric crimes in recorded history. The mass killings of Jews in the Soviet Union and other crimes against humanity were perpetrated, executed by atheists.

You seem to be confused about the meaning of the word 'atheist'. Atheists believe strongly about many things.

The term 'atheist' doesn't tell you anything about a person except that he doesn't believe that gods exist. Likewise, "Christian" doesn't tell you anything about a person, except that he believes Jesus is the messiah.

Of course, a person who doesn't believe in gods doesn't worship or praise a God who drowns and slaughters millions, sends his own kid to be beaten and executed, and commands his followers to torture, rape, and kill his enemies. Most people with morals wouldn't.

There are a multitude of things I care enough about to die for. Why assume that no belief in god = no strong belief in anything at all? That's a bit presumptuous of you. I would not, however, kill for them. To kill someone else because their religion is different than mine is stupid. What good does it do?

I am atheists, I also feel strongly about many things. Just because I believe god is a load of rubbish doesn't mean I don't feel strongly about things.

No they are not imbued mysteriously with a good heart and reason but they are usually smarter then your cheap insinuation
if that's your best look for fools as friends not me I'm only sorry for you for your lack of mental acuity to reason on an average level. you just pull it out of a hat ?
back up your staggering accusation with some proof. just because one is not irrationally blood thirsty doesn't not negate the ability of self defense.
peace out

No! Athiests have strong morals for family and country just like everyone else. I'm willing to die for the people I love, and fight for my country (not some other one like say... Iraq).

Well, being willing to die for something...doesn't a person count? Or can it only be a magical belief?

How do you know that we do not believe anything. I believe in evolution and no diety had any effect on us being here.
I have children and I would die for them! Same for parents and sisters!

I would have to disagree. Children (default Atheist) show they are completely capable of violent behavior.
