You decided to start eating more vegetables.... good on ya' mate, I take it you're not Jay Leno?? LOL
Anyway, I came across the same issue with my diet. I don't like all the fat, and especially all that oil, in the usual salad dressings that are on the market. My solution: I make my own.
I use low-fat plain yogurt as a base, then mix it with a combination of ketchup, cocktail sauce, salsa, and barbecue sauce. If you are so inspired you can also throw in some horseradish, pimientos and chives. This produces a great tasting dressing which is reminiscent of a spicy version of Thousand Island dressing, only with very little fat, plus it's not oily! Other options: try mixing plain low-fat yogurt with pesto sauce, or sun-dried tomato pasta sauce, for some variations. The important thing is that you get huge flavor from the sauces, but you are mixing it with low-fat yogurt, so, VERY LITTLE FAT!!! (and no oil!)
Good night, and good luck. Col. Kurtz.

It doesn't take much dressing to make salad tasty. Use it sparingly and be sure and toss the salad thoroughly to coat all of it. You can also use vinegar dressings made with olive oil, and make them yourself. There are all kinds of recipes online, just type in something and do the homework, or ask your neighbor. Don't get obsessive about fat. You need a little in your diet to help vitamins absorb better. Just be sure and cut out all the crap that commercial dressings have, like high fructose corn syrup which will make you crave food more and keep the fat on. Look in your organic section if you have one available.

Tons- try Newman's Own-- he has a lot of tasty low fat low carb dressings-- and the key to keep the dressing cals down is not to spread it ON the salad- but to dip your fork full of salad into the dressing- a little bit is all you need to give the greens a good taste- they do not have to bed swimming in a bed of dressing.
Just like eating french fries-- you just dip it in the ketchup instead of spraying it all over them so they are oozing with ketchup/
