Ok, well it's kind of a long story....but

I'm 19 years old

My ex girlfriend whom I broke up with a few months ago is causing some trouble. She is still in love with me, even though I have moved on and I am now currently in a new relationship. Tonight, she got drunk with some of her new friends and kept calling my cell phone and bothering me. I was also at a party tonight (more like a gathering of friends) of which my new g/f attended. Well my ex g/f knows my new girlfriend's cell phone number (long story on that one) and called her up (and this was after my new g/f left the party). My ex g/f called my new g/f names and then asked to speak with me. But of course I wasn't there because my new g/f was at home. So my new g/f called me up telling me that some girl is calling her and asking to speak with me. I was infuriated. I called up my ex and basically let her have it.
Another note: my ex has been following cars that leave my driveway...she followed my brothers friend the other day

For any of you that got through that story...is there any sort of legal action I can take? Maybe a harassment charge or some type of restraining order. Assuming she keeps up this bullcrap. I am falling in love with my new g/f and I don't want her to break up with me after putting up with this crap, she doesn't need this.

I'll be honest, this is pretty far down with respect to harassment, BUT the easiest thing would be to file PPO or personal protection order, you need to justify why you want it, but your story might be enough IF it continues, if this was a one shot thing or maybe a couple times, don't bother it may go away on it's own.

I don't believe a PPO costs anything and it will be a court order for your ex not to call, write or otherwise stalk you. If she violates it, THEN you have legal action because now it's criminal.

Good Luck

Maybe a restraining order? It seems like harrassment or Stalking but I don't know where you live or what the laws are there. They vary from one place to the next. Hopefully someone here will know the answer for you. You can always talk to a lawyer.

You can call the police and report the harrassment. You can also get a restraining order against her. Also, change your cell phone number. End of drama.

Do not talk to her. Anything that you say to her can be taken as a threat or harassment.

Can you say fatal attraction? look into getting a restraining order if not change your phone numbers and report to the authorities that she is harassing and stalking you

Go to the court house and file a PFA that's protection from abuse. I know you haven't mentioned being physically harmed but untill there is a hearing on it she cant contact you or come within a certain distance of you or else she'll be violating the order.

go to the cops and get a restraining order and file charges on her for stalking. She is nutz, also let your new GF be with you while you do this so she knows how crazy your ex is and how serious you are to rid yourself of you ex.

Turn the tables on her: write her cell phone number on the wall of every toilet you use while you're out with your boys, saying she's the freakiest biotch in town. Give it to pimps, dope fiends, gang members and speed freaks and see what happens...the fun should start when she decides to call after she's changed the number and you tell her it will never end. Eventually, she'll give up.

go to police station and file a restraining order, she will only get arrested if she brakes it but it will let her know you mean business but do not call her anymore not even to tell her to stop that's giving her what she wants stop completely tell your new gf to just hang up never give her the satisfaction of ANY response,, you want her to believe she doesn't cause any feelings not even anger

You could try and get a restraining order...but seein she hasnt physically hurt you or anythin that might not happen...the cops might warn her to stay away tho so that might help..or you could just get a new phone number
