Money, Churches dont make enough money to supervize and you can imagine how many drunks/homeless people/crack heads would wander there for shelter, a place to shoot up, a place to have sex etc.

Good question. I've lived in a couple of places where churches and the prayer chapels were open very late all year long, but those were in college towns where the students needed all the thelp they could get :) Honestly the churches ran study halls as a safe alternative than walking to campus from student neighborhoods, but the church part was open.

I guess you see more people respect bars and casinos than places of worship - don't ever recall someone painting a swastika in a casino, protesting, smashing a statue of a saint at a bar, etc.

Good question. Am interested in the asnwers you get.

I believe there are some places that keep their doors open all hours. But you've got a good point.

I think the reason maybe that for instance, our church only has one pastor and he needs to sleep at night. He works during the day, witnessing to others, counseling, hospital visits and other things that go along with his ministery so therefore he needs to rest at night.

It would be nice to know that if I ever need a church, no matter what the hour, that I could find one open.

If you need someone to talk to though, some type of spiritual support, you can join a support group online or maybe contact one of us "Jesus freaks" on here. Most of us are willing to listen and help any way we can.

Best wishes and God bless!

Because the people who attend churches know there is nothing but mischief out after a certain hour. Those bars and casinos you mentioned. Why stay open when your members are at home anyway?

You really cant have much family time in a bar or casino.

Real Christians are about family, and spending time with your children, so that they will have morals, values, and family time is fun time. Most people dont know much about family time, because they are too busy at the bars and casinos.
You only get one life to spend with your family. They are pretty important to me, more important than getting drunk, rolling dice, or other things.

Spend some time with your family, play a game, look at your photo albums, watch some old home movies, I think you will have fun. And leave your children with some good memories of time with you.

Bars and casinos make a lot of money at night, especially from vampires.

Vampires don't put money in church collections.

There is no point in churches staying open all night. Besides many church members visit these bars when they are not in church. Not all church members of course, but many.

Many churches used to always be open - they were a haven for people who could go there for peace, to shelter, to pray, to sleep...

Unfortunately now there are too many vandals, theives etc, and also there is no money in it!
