Look at them quizzically and say, "Yea, alright. You just keep telling yourself that." Works for me. You can say it over and over every time they make some smart arced comment.

I was in a bar and we taking crap from a biker. This worked nicely for me, but only if you're a guy:

1) Make sure you're in a public place where there are witnesses.

2) Ask them "Do you not like me?"

3) Ask "Would you like to kick my butt?"

4) Point to your chin and say "Hit me right there."

5) If they refuse, ask them "Come on, why won't you hit me? This is your chance to kick my butt." If they continue to refuse, tell them that they are all talk and laugh at them.

6) If they happen to hit you and kick your butt, take it like a man and press charges with the police. Believe me, you'll have the last laugh.

Get a pair of black leather, skin-tight gloves. Start putting them on as he approaches you talking mean; Smile, reach into your pocket, pull out your cell phone and dial 911 and ask that they scramble an ambulance to the place where you're standing and explain that the person needing assistance has multiple contusions, severe cuts, broken bones and has lost consciousness. That ought to hold his attention...

Either raise your eyebrows and say in a loud, incredulous tone: "I can't even begin to imagine what would make you say something so rude and tacky." or don't respond directly at all, look at one of the other people present and say, in a sort of pitying way: "I really wish (insert bully's name) would get the help (s)he so badly needs." Either of those approaches ought to make him/her squirm with embarrassment for a change - which is exactly what (s)he needs to realize what (s)he's been putting you through all this time.

Show that you are physically and mentally superior to them in every way and that their feeble attempts to bully and intimidate you only served to mildly amuse you. Tell them that they will cease their pathetic efforts to bother you or you will take retaliatory action. Now just back all of that up and you won't have any problems.

Most bullies are easly pushed off if you just stand up to them. But be prepared to get your *** kicked if you think they are bad enough

fight fire with fire...you become the bully....talk to him as if you aint scared of nothing. as if you aint got nothing to lose.. and when he puts a finger on you, kick him in the balls...that should keep him down for a while and probably will keep him away.

tell me what happens :-)

Ignore them as best you can...they are
1. Trying to get attention
2. Trying to make you look weak so they can seem powerful.

Ignoring them takes their "power" away.

Ignoring is difficult, so turn it around back on him. If he is rude try to twist his words around to make him look like the stupid one. Have faith, what goes around comes around and his day is coming.
