Ok this is my first question so learning how this all works. I realize from the replies that tone of voice context are important. This person is nice to me and not being mean at all, it doesn't bother me, it is just something I recently noticed and was curious as to what hidden meaning it might have. It is mainly on the phone so not sure if they do it with other people. I am guessing not and that it is a sign they like me. I like them too but I don't use their name all the time and I haven't really encountered that before. Thanks for the input.

This is sometimes taught as a memory tool. They are trying to make sure they remember your name and associate it with your face. They, however, are the only one who has any real idea what their motives are. It could mean they like you, it could mean they are trying to impress you and hope you are a business contact. It could be that they just do this with everyone. Only time will tell. Watch them, see how they interact with others, then see how they interact with you next time. If it creeps you out, don't let the "next time" happen.

I know what you mean!

#1 and #2 might be right, but I kind of distrust people abusing my name when they talk to me. I have the impression that they try to manipulate me, like politicians do!

They're trying to ensure they have your attention.

They're repeating it so they don't forget it.
