Perception that someone is nicer relates directly to the fact that those in favor of enforcing the laws equally do not agree with you ...why would they not seem not so nice. If nice equals turning a blind eye to law breakers, then I guess I am horrible. I am not anti-immigration, but I am indeed anti-illegal immigration. There is no person in the universe who can convince me that someone should get what they want at any cost just because they want it. In fact, reality may one day soon dictate that immigration will need to be monitored and likely shut down periodically. Bankrupting America for the good of another nation is not a good idea, nor is it fair to the citizens who work and live here legally.

Are you aware that American citizens must work 10 years before becoming eligible for social security retirement benefits? Are you also aware that the illegal immigrants must by law work 18 months to receive the same benefits?

For your information, by denying them amnesty, I am doing them a huge favor! The employers do not want to be able to be harassed by documented workers and they would lose the opportunity they have wrongly obtained!
I do not blame the Invaders for an employment problem that is our country's fault! But, I do have a real problem with the expense and damage the flood has caused!
If you find me at fault for protecting my country, then get Mexico to lighten up on their protectionism so I can invade Veracruz or Acapulco!-Fair enough?

They are trying to give away something that belongs to others. It may be cheap, to them, if they don't have kids in the failing schools. But it is at our expense. It is easy to be generous with someone else's money and future.

Also, not all of the posts are nice, if you notice. I think if you agree with someone you are more willing to see them as 'nice'.

perhaps you've heard this quote before (bears repeating):
"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, yearning to breath free. The wretched refuse of your teeming shore; send these, the homeless, the tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" ~ Emma Lazarus
