Either way, wouldn't a bit of peace be nice?

When my wife is fighting with me, I often feel like just walking off and falling off the edge of the world. Given that they've proven that the world is round, it's difficult, so I usually just sit down in that hidden spot around the corner in my backyard and sulk for a while. It helps if it's bitter cold so it knocks some sense back in me. Then I go back in and try to work things out. Are you experiencing a lot of discord in your household with the children? Are they driving you bonkers?? (and you can't find your ball peen hammer?) Sometimes kids can do that. You just have to take a deep breath and go in your room and close the door and unwind with some Otis Redding. Or why don't you go to a hotel room for a day and don't tell anybody where you are? :-) Call it a "mental health break", I actually think it's tax deductible too!

When I was younger I use to dream of what it would be like to be a single child or out on my own.....
I knew that running away would only cause more problems so I turned my grief into a journal and made goals....found things to eat up my time so I didn't have to spend it with so many frowns.
Got involved into school activities...(knew that my parents would allow it) and got accepted to the college of my choice and I finally was free to live my life the way I wanted......
What I am trying to say....what seems so big will be so little tomorrow......Life is too short to ponder on the little things....
Find things you like to do and fill your time....don't dwell on the little stuff.

You can do it!

Things are not usually as bad as we make them.
I get fed every night and have a nice bed to sleep on.
Sure I don't get pet as often as I like and I get blamed for things that aren't my fault, but all and all it could be worse.

That's one of the reasons I live alone, don't have to deal with other people getting on my nerves.
