Talk to you about it. There not going to put you in a padded room and call you crazy. There just going to talk to you about and be concerned. But if you attemp suicide thats a whole nother story. Then you will be commited somewhere.
If you say you are cinsidering it they will talk to you about it. Not just send you off to a hospital.

Well I've regularly being seeing a psychiatrist and I told him I was feeling suicidal and he got what was called the Crisis Team involved. This was 2 people coming to my house to check on me every day to see how I was and talk to me about how I was feeling. They were sent from the local psychiatric hospital.
I don't think he'd section you. Only if he was convinced that you were definiteyl going to do it. He'll ask you if you've made plans to be sure of that. But you can always admit yourself willingingly into a mental hospital if you think it would be best for you. They aren't as scary as you think.
Don't be scared talk to him tht's what he is there for. He may be able to organise something like what I said above about people coming out to see you.

The psychiatrist will do what is possible to be sure you don't comit suicide. Like tell those close to you to help out. Also the psychiatrist will encourage you to talk about it. That is always good.

They will call the "mental health police" and have you taken to the nearest mental hospital. These are actual city police officers assigned to mental health detail.
I'm not joking. That's what the doctors do at the medical office where I work. There are legal implications, and they have to send you to be evaluated for committment.

you will be check into a mental ward, kept in a single room with shoes that has no laces, where you will be under close observation where you will begin intense therapy sessions and begin some sort of medication program. I'm leaving out, quite a few other details but it's what i can remember
