This is true for most people. It is the Folic Acid in the Prenatal Vitamins. It will make the hair healthier and stronger. It will do the same for your fingernails by making them stronger and healthier as well. I could never grow my fingernails out until I started taking Prenatal Vitamins while pregnant with my son. You can only get Prenatal Vitamins by Prescription. They can be expensive. I suggest that you check with your Doctor before doing this, choose a multiple vitamin that has at least 400 milligrams of Folic Acid in it. You can do this by looking on the back label. There you will find a list of everything in that Vitamin. For example it should say: Folic Acid.... 400mcg or 100 %.

Prenatal vitamins do not promote hair growth any moreso than regular vitamins. People taking vitamins when they are needed are generally healthier than people that need them and don't take vitamins. The body , when not healthy, slows down other processes, or if it is lacking in a particular mineral or vitamin or such, the body will slow down functions that are not "life essential" Hair growth is one of these.. I person that is unhealthy will have overall a slower hair growth of poorer quality of hair than a generally healthier person. This of course is if each person was in the same weather, the same light, had hair cuts at the same time, and every other environmental aspect was the same.

I have heard they do, but they also can make you sick.
I use these vitamins to help my hair grow faster, they are called NIOXIN, it says it's a dietary supplement for healthy growth of hair, skin and nails. Anyways they work REALLLLLLLY WELL! But they are almost $17 dollars for 30. Some people might think that is a lot for just a months worth of vitamins, but for me they are worth it. You can purchase them at Sally's Beauty Supply, or probably any other Beauty Supply Store in your area, just call around.

I would think so...I know my finger nails and hair grew so fast....
My doctor who is a geneticist did alot of studies on vitamins and the ones he gave me had way more vitamins than the ones at the stores...also, he stated that in his statics that women do better on the ones he orders....which I guess is true because during my pregnancy I never craved food ever...I only craved swimming...weird I know...And plus I never had to be bedridden because of all the viatims.
But the reason why you crave foods is because your lacking in some nutrient...

taking the right vitamins and supplement in your daily diet would help hair growth, you also need to have head massage for proper blood circulation in the scalp:

they just make your hair stronger and healthier which does make it grow better but nothing makes it grow faster. but if ur hair is damaged then it might break off and this makes it better, it also makes ur nails grow faster, and so does filing ur nails only a little filing not a lot though, any brand is good and they don't cost that much, if u start taking them only take one a day otherwise it will be really bad for u.

no, doctors have proven that it doesnt promote hair growth.
just go to some drugstores and get supplements for your hair. i've done it before and it works perfectly. i had a very bad hair cut and i was so desperate that i went to the drugstore and bought this bottle of supplements for my hair. i finish one bottle and my friends says that my hair grew.
