Deuteronomy 8:4 gives us a little glimpse of how things might have been in the original creation. “Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.” God is omnipotent and perfectly capable of sustaining and protecting his creation.
When Adam sinned, however, the Lord cursed the universe. In essence there was a change and along with that change God seemingly took away a little bit of his sustaining power and allowed things like suffering and death into His creation. Now He permits bad things to happen—and this is a reminder that sin has consequences and that the world needs a Savior. Romans 8:22 says, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”

God took pleasure in all of His creation ("http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?passage=revelation+4:11&version=NKJV"), but He loved people most of all. He allowed the created universe to deteriorate so we would see the consequences of our sin. If we did not see the consequences of our sin, we would never see that we need salvation from our sin, and we would never accept His offer of mercy for our sin. Most people easily recognize that there is a problem in the world. This can be used to show them that there is one who has overcome this problem of death and suffering—Jesus Christ.

God is not responsible for these evils; the Devil is.

(James 1:13-15) 13 When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. 14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.

The reason He let's these things happen is because Satan attacked God Sovereignty, his right to rule. Satan claimed that humans only worship God out of interest and that we would curse God to His face if He didn't protect us. This is found in the book of Job first two chapters.
There the drama began. Job was severely tested and passed with flying color. But the issue still continues till this day.

In Proverbs 27:11 the bible says, "Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice, that I may make a reply to him that is taunting me."
This is God talking to us, asking us to be faithful and hold fast to the true. So when the time comes He can prove to the Devil that we humans do love, trust, have faith and believe in Him. That way when the Devil is judged and sentence, no one can say God was unjust in destroying the Devil.

Hope this help you understand a little better the reasoning behind all the problems around the world. It's not just about us; it's about God's right to rule.
All the angels in the heavens and humans here on the Earth are awaiting the Great Day of Judgement to finally see the conclusion of all these wicked things.

The Word of God says that it rains on the just as well as the unjust. It is not fair that these things happen. We do not know why God allows things to happen but rest assured He has the master plan. That is why we have faith that in the end everything will work out for our good. May God Bless U.

God doesn't let bad things happen. They happen because "bad people" do these things. Why must people have someone to blame (and usually it is God?) And I most certainly do not let it happen. Try praying for their peace and safety, write a letter to your politicians about the plight of the children and ask if there is a place to make a donation that will go to helping the children.

GOD gave us all free will. Recognize that God does not want to see us suffer. God does not control your every thought, ability, or what we say. he has the power to do so, but only when we allow him. Please, if you have time, and have access to a bible translation you fell comfortable with, read this. Romans 1:18-32. and why the children have to suffer, i don't really know, but Jeremiah 32: 18 can answer that. and for comfort Psalm 126:5-6.
Recognize God has not abandoned us in times of suffering!

Good question. Can a bad thing happen to God? Maybe the only problem is just a case of mistaken identity. Maybe after enough suffering {sin} a person will seek the "truth" of themselves. " You will "know" the "truth"' and the "truth"'' will set you free. You are headed in the right direction by questioning things.

It's not God, but nature. Survival of the fittest, that is nature weeding out the weakest of a certain species. If there were a all powerful God why would he allow innocent children to suffer? It makes no sense.

According to the Bhagavad-Gita, we suffer the results of our sinful activities and we are rewarded for our godly activities. This is the law of Karma, which follows the principals of reincarnation. If a person commits a crime in this life and does not voluntarily accept the consequences, he will take birth in his next life in a suitable condition to accept the consequences by force. This in no way means that we should not have compassion for the suffering. Since we do not remember our past activities, or anyone else's, we cannot judge them as unworthy of pity or compassion. However, it does explain how one person can be born rich and another poor, how one can be born blind and another healthy, and how even innocent children can be made to suffer in cruelty.

Will you decide what God must not let happen in the world?

I know that you want free will instead of being a robot engineered by God. Yet you want to judge each action in the world by your standards and thus be the judge of God.

It is people, with the same free will that you enjoy who choose to do evil instead of good.

Blame the people who do evil instead of being like Adam who told God it was His fault that he sinned because God gave him Eve and she tempted him.
