I am 17 years old, I am 5"7, and 84 pounds, and I am a cheerleader.
I eat normally, 3 meals a day, and I take in at least 1,200 calories a day. I exercise one hour a day, and I drink a lot of water, and I don't drink soda. I don't eat junk either.
If you saw me, would you say I was too skinny, or just fine?

buddy this is coming from an ex-anoerxic guy, you calorie intake is way too low and if you keep on with this your heart could quit i would up your calorie intake to 2,200 a day and lift weights along with upping your calories and protien you'll gain muscle weight instead of fat weight. A reccomended daily calorie is 2000. I was close to death and i was about your same weight and height. If you want to talk to me about it i can give you my e-mail and i would be glad to help you find help. If you are anoerxic i know as much as you dont want to it is more healthy for you to eat then to not eat.

Ps. for lifting do it 3 times a week not every day and i am 16 years old (not some creepy predator)

Way too skinny, you are really underweight for your height, I mean come on 84 lbs. That is really skinny, If you want to gain weight( you should weigh at least 115 lbs) without eating bad what you do is when you sit down for a regular meal, 3x a day, drink a slimfast with it, I know that sounds weird but they are made to replace a meal so they will give you extra calories that are not empty(like with junk food)
You should be taking in at least 2,000 calories a day, I don't know how you function as a cheerleader without passing out. Please don't let magazines make you feel uncertain about yourself. Be healthy :)

Being a female of your height, a typical healthy diet for you would consist of about 2000 calories a day. Considering you are an active person, and a teenager, a number somewhat higher than that might be more appropriate. I personally am a fan of the healthy, slender, body type (as opposed to the big rear and chest that seems to be coming back into fashion), but even I think that you would be more attractive at 115 to 125 pounds.

Take good care of that precious body of yours, you only get one per life. Eat plenty of healthy foods (avoid large amounts of saturated fats and refined sweeteners like sugar and corn syrup), but allow yourself the occasional guilty pleasure. Life is supposed to be fun, and you deserve the best you can give yourself!

Way too skinny. You should be the size of an adult at 17. being 5 foot 7 you should be around 130 pounds.. So your like 50 pounds under weight.. I would say that not a healthy weight and if you thought it was you wouldn't be on here asking..

in my opinion, that's complicated to choose because of numbers. what's a reliable weight for one guy or woman, may be to lots or to little for yet another. often, the problem-free weight for a girl 5'7" could be greater than eighty 4. appropriate guy or woman to ask is a nutritionist or well being care provider. you're doing each thing appropriate, even even though it could be sturdy to verify you do not have some well being themes that are being missed considering you're narrow. it could look to me which you will properly be underweight - yet examine with an authority first. You sound worried for the clarification to be asking - at 1200 energy an afternoon, it seems such as you at the instant are not ingesting sufficient for a bobbing up woman of 17, enormously for being so lively. examine with a doctor/college nurse to verify. If I saw you I would say, she looks ill. But hey, we're all different. I say the bottom line is get a physical, talk to a Dr. and if he say's your healthy and labs come back ok, then hey your a skinny girl. And I woud say, dont worry about it if it doesnt bother you, it shouldnt matter what other people think. And when you get in your mid 20's and 30's youll probably gain just enough weight to still be lean and looking awsome for your age. Rock On!!

Your weight may be a little under. Look in the mirror if you see each rib, you may need to gain some weight. Next doctor visit ask him/her what they think. If you feel fine and lots of energy then you are prob fine. But again, i think 84 pounds is a little low. Plus a lot of guys dont like toothpick girls.

increase calories gradually and gain a bit
remember men need something to grab
who wants to be in bed with the crip keeper

you may think your being healthy with exercise and cutting out junk, but it can have a reverse effect, our body needs to indulge in days off, a fattening snack every once in a while. always remember to relax, don't work too hard

gain some weight and you'll be dandy hunny bun

accoding to your BMI you are too skinny, judging by your "numbers" you probably are a little under weight. If you're active at your age you should be takingin at least 1500-2000 calories a day, you're young and have a high metabolism so that 1200 /day is not cutting it. It's quite unhealthy really.
