i think it is very sad, but i cannot judge what they do, because i am not in their situation. i do however believe they are loving people who want the best for their child.

They did not know that their daughter was going to be born like that. Im sure they would not have had her if they did. They didnt ask for that life for their child.
I dont think I would have killed my child because I would not have that kind of strength in my heart. These parents have much more strength to love and do whatever so their daughter is comfortable in her world. Other parents, at least in the country I live in, would take one look at the problem child and wrap it up throw him or her in a garbage can or send it to an institution never to see them again or help in any way, never loving them.

They have the right and the responsibility to do what they think is best for the child within the law. It's really nobody elses business.

It's amazing to me how the same people who preach that the government is too big and needs to stop interfering with personal rights get on the soapbox and second guess this family.

First of all let me rebuke you for calling her a vegetable. From what I have read, she is not. Just mentally impaired. You are not a medical doctor and you cannot diagnose her. How dare you call her a vegetable.

Number two...the treatment. What does breasts have to do with anything. The average 4 or 5 lbs of extra tissue will not drastically affect her overall weight. That compounded with the pain of removing her breast tissue in the first place....How much discomfort did they expect her to have above the normal inconvenience of putting a bra on her. Shame on them. Hysterectomy? What horrid thing is that. Having to have a menstrual cycle. God forbid she inconvenience them with the clean up of a menstrual cycle. You are sick for saying a person doesn't deserve to live because of lowered mental capacity. God forbid you ever have a child like that. I'd hate to be your child. Yikes!

I agree with Nikogal. They didnt have a choice. I also agree that she is not a vegetable. I dont know if you have kids but I would like to know that whatever your child was, how would you go about killing them when they look up at you and smile?

i imagine boys and women both have frivolously difficult because we both go via diverse issues and we cant placed ourselves in each and each others shoes so the precise answer we are able to by no skill recognize. As a lady i think like we ought to have it extra sturdy yet in case you ask a guy they are going to say in the different case.
