I just read some answers given by (Christians?) that didn't know the answer.
they didn't even have a clue that John the Baptist was a preacher! although the Bible says that he preached in the wilderness for years and was beheaded for PREACHING.
how can Christians not know the Bible??

actually, one that answered that John the Baptist wasn't a preacher, claimed to be a preacher herself, you would think that a ordained minister would know the Bible.

it is good to see that someone actually reads and understands the Bible! I read where someone thought John was of the Baptist faith (hence his name!) for those who don't have a clue, it was his profession, occupation, title.. it had nothing to do with what denomination he was!

Christians don't have a full knowledge of the Bible. There is too much to know.
The main message is God's power, majesty and grace. To know that He created all things and is lord/ruler over all. To know that He loves all and wants all to turn to Him, honor Him and receive His salvation.
That's all they need to be baby Christian. Maturity follows as they learn more.
Jesus MAY NOT HAVE BAPTIZED ANY PERSON.......or, He may have. It doesn't make any difference.
John 4:1-2
4:1 The Pharisees heard that Jesus was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John, 2 although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples.

john 4-1, it is written that Jesus MADE and BAPTIZE more than john, although he himself did not baptize, but his disciples
now lets look at the bible, in john 3-1-5 it is written that you must be born of he water and spirit, so now we know everyone must be baptize in water ! 15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness.--- and he was a man also. now i do not believe Jesus baptize anyone, WHY ? because he would have had to baptize in his own NAME, acts 2-38 the reason we the people get baptize is 3 reasons, 1. washing away our sins, 2. we take on the family NAME in the water, JESUS. 3. IF WE DO NOT GET BAPTIZE WE WILL BE CUT OFF FROM HIS PEOPLE, genesis 17------colossians 2-- 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
and there is a lot more, but time ??

John 4:1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
2 (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)
3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
Here is a Bible verse that says Jesus did not baptize any.
Jesus Baptism was Fire that he gave in the upper room; Acts 2:1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
So you see the Holy Ghost is a baptism of fire( Jesus Christ) living inside of us. John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
Now the Holy Spirit is also called the comforter; John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
As far as not knowing the truth we live in dark times so nothing would surpise me; 2 Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Jesus was a Rabbi, teacher. John the Baptist, his cousin, was the one that baptized with water.
By the way, if you are talking about the question about Baptism and who can do it, I went to it just now and answered it. Hopefully someone will find that helpful.
Peace.

They are new Christians and/or they haven't been taught because they are in churches that have been infiltrated with witches who are sent there to tear them down so that the new world order can be ushered in. Those who are just now receiving salvation through the knowledge of the son of God are blessed to be in the generation that will see his return, and although we must through much tribulation enter the kingdom of God we can trust that he is able to keep that which we have committed unto him against that day. The return of Jesus Christ is very near.
