I just read about buddism in a web site.

when buddha decided to teach his knowledge, some women came to become his deciples, however in 500bc, women were thought to be incapable of such knowledge and were not welcome. It was Buddha who, said women are as welcome to become monks as men are.

So, i think buddism does not discriminate against women at all.
