Actually, they don't; but they consider the Covenant of Abraham to be binding on them since Mohammad was from the lineage of Abraham through his son - Ishmael.
Mohammad was from the beni al Quraish Jewish tribe!?!?
Oh, the Covenant is that the people of their Faith shall be circumcized, among other things!?!?

Certainly. Muslims are after all, the best nation.
The great scholar of tafsir (i.e. Quranic exegesis) Imam Ibn Kathir (God be pleased with him) writes:
The Ummah (i.e. followers) of Muhammad is Better than the Children of Israel
This is the only way the Ayah (verse) can be understood, because this Ummah is better than theirs, as Allah God) said;
(You are the best of people ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin good and forbid evil, and you believe in Allah. And had the People of the Book (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them) (3:110).
Also, the Musnad and Sunan Collections of Hadith recorded that Mu`awiyah bin Haydah Al-Qushayri said that the Messenger of Allah said,
(You (Muslims) are the seventieth nation, but you are the best and most honored of them according to Allah.
Peace and Love

Abram is a Muslim, Jewish, and Christian prophet.
Judaism, Christianity and Islam are sometimes referred to as the "Abrahamic religions", because of the role Abraham plays in their holy books and beliefs. In the Torah and the Qur'an, Abraham is described as a patriarch blessed by God (Genesis 17:4-5). In the Jewish tradition, he is called Avraham Avinu or "Abraham, our Father". God promised Abraham that through his offspring, all the nations of the world will come to be blessed (Genesis 12:3), interpreted in Christian tradition as a reference to Christ. Jews, Christians, and Muslims consider him father of the people of Israel through his son Isaac (cf. Exodus 6:3, Exodus 32:13). For Muslims, he is a prophet of Islam and the ancestor of Muhammad through his other son Ishmael.
Therefore, the covenant with God made with Abraham applies to Islam as well.
They are almost the exact same religion. Stop fighting.

Muslims are NOT a race or tribe like the Isrealites. Muslims are like Christians in that anyone can become one.
As far as a covanent with God is concerned, all of us have one. We are all supposed to obey him, worship him, not associate any partners with him, and be kind to our parents, neighbors, etc.
According to Islamic beliefs, Gods special covanent was with Abraham, pperiod. Not with any one particular son of his. Ismael (Abrahams first born son from his wife Hagar) was the ancestor of prophet Muhammad, so God's special covanent was with his people as well.
Firthermore, God's special covanent with Abraham was only in effect for the rightous of his descendants. When the Isrealites rebeled again and again against God (The final straw being the rejection and attempted crucifixion of Jesus) then God's covanenet was obviously void, since the Israelites acted unrightously ( not sure if that's a word).
Muhammad was God's last prophet, sent from the lineage of Abraham, and sent for all of mankind.

It is a different covenant. It was made by God with Hagar, the slave women owned by Sarah with whom Abraham had the child, Ishmael.
Here is that covenant:
Gen 16:6-16
Then Sarai mistreated Hagar; so she fled from her.
7 The angel of the LORD found Hagar near a spring in the desert; it was the spring that is beside the road to Shur. 8 And he said, "Hagar, servant of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?"
"I'm running away from my mistress Sarai," she answered.
9 Then the angel of the LORD told her, "Go back to your mistress and submit to her." 10 The angel added, "I will so increase your descendants that they will be too numerous to count."
11 The angel of the LORD also said to her:
"You are now with child and you will have a son.You shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard of your misery. 12 He will be a wild donkey of a man;his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him,and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers."
13 She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: "You are the God who sees me," for she said, "I have now seen the One who sees me." 14 That is why the well was called Beer Lahai Roi; it is still there, between Kadesh and Bered.
15 So Hagar bore Abram a son, and Abram gave the name Ishmael to the son she had borne. 16 Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore him Ishmael.
(from New International Version)
The other covenant was the one given to Abraham was for his descendents through his other son, Isaac.....then his son Jacob/Isreal and then the sons of Isreal....

The Muslims have the Abrahamic covenant, which is fulfilled in the new covenant Church, and not by Islam.
Same for the Jews.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
And remember Allah's favour upon you and the covenant which He made with you, when you said, 'We hear and we obey.' And fear Allah. Surely Allah knows well what is in your minds.
'And approach not the property of the orphan, except in a way which is best, till he attains his maturity. And give full measure and weigh with equity. We charge not any soul except according to its capacity. And when you speak, observe justice, even if the person concerned be a relative, and fulfil the covenant of Allah. That is what He enjoins upon you, that you may take care.'
And if thou fearest treachery from a people, throw back to them their covenant with equity. Surely, Allah loves not the treacherous.
O Children of Israel! remember My favours which I bestowed upon you, and fulfil your covenant with Me, I will fulfil My covenant with you, and Me alone should you fear.
And remember when We took a covenant from you: 'You shall not shed each other's blood nor turn your people out of your homes,' then you confirmed it; and you have been witness to it.
And from those also who say, 'We are Christians,' We took a covenant, but they too have forgotten a good part of that with which they were exhorted. So We have caused enmity and hatred among them till the Day of Resurrection. And Allah will soon let them know what they have been doing.
They are not all alike. Among the People of the Book, there is a party who stand by their covenant; they recite the word of Allah in the hours of the night and prostrate themselves before Him.
And remember the time when Allah took a covenant from the people through the Prophets, saying, 'Whatever I give you of the Book and Wisdom and then there comes to you a Messenger, fulfilling that which is with you, you shall believe in him and help him.' And He said, 'Do you agree, and do you accept the responsibility which I lay upon you in this matter?' They said, 'We agree.' He said, 'Then bear witness and I am with you among the witnesses.'
Who break the covenant of Allah after having established it, and cut asunder what Allah has bidden to be joined, and create disorder in the earth; it is these that are the losers.
