Ben Beb Ben, somebody has to keep records of what is due the IRS and somebody has to write a check to IRS, and there will alsays be people who try to cheat at both, good luck with your sophmoric idea IRS will be eliminated. P.S. If the "fair TAx" is the '"flat tax" proposed by the Republicans I got a news flash for you, it won't be fair, it will favor the wealthy.

It seems to me that I heard that if the IRS would go the way of the "Fair Tax" then everything in the stores would go up with the addition of taxes to those products sold. That would put a real drain on the poor and elderly. So seems to me it's 6 of one, half dozen of the other. However, it would be nice to see a slimmer book of IRS rules and regulations.

Please quit the Fairtax crap.
The Fairtax bill never makes it out of committee and it never will. It is a dead issue. The bill had about a 1% chance of passing with the Republicans in control. Now it has about a 0% chance.
Besides, it doesn't get rid of the IRS, it just renames it. Regardless of what type of tax we have, we need a government agency to administer it and perform audits.

hahaha ... what a joke.
U think no one done this scam b4?
Almost every country in world, have income tax collected by Federal govt. & sales tax is collected by local govt.
Not a bad idea to have sales tax instead of income tax. ... prepare to pay $10 after tax for a $4 burger. And one more thing, U can get certain tax deductions on income, and may b hide certain income and save income tax. Did u ever tried to not to pay sales tax? .. guess what who will benefit to this? business owners, not you! ...do u think that this retailer are honest and really pays all collected sales tax???

Yes, it would put more money in my pocket. It would put LESS money in the pocket of the working poor. Somehow that doesn't seem "fair" or right.
