for a five feet seven girl, I don't think 84 pounds would be considered a *normal* weight. But if you are confortable with yourself and you are eating right and exercising properly to keep your body healthy and strong, then I don't see a real problem with being underweight.
I am 5 feet tall and I weigh 240 pounds! i've been FAT my whole life. So I'd much rather be underweight than this weight.
When you are a light-weight, your feet, ankels and joints do not hurt. You can fit into clothes easier. And you are more socially *accepted*.
You, your family, and your doctor need to all get together and make the decision whether you are a good healthy weight or not.
Good Luck, hun!

No way. How do you survive practice?
Talk to a trainer about ways to build muscle so you can be more versatile in the squad. You need serious strength to jump and hold your balance . . . and help your mom carry groceries, and lift your own book bag, and climb a flight of stairs carrying said groceries or book bag. Muscle raises your metabolism, and makes you look healthier.
Plus what the other guy said, about having enough tissue and food to keep your internal organs (like your brain) functioning.

I can't totally answer that, only a doctor can. However, generally speaking, if you are a bean pole you are healthy. You might be a little under weight, but again I don't know what you look like and what your genetic make up is.

ok now i am convinced you have anorexia, because you've asked 2 questions about your weight. I answered this one because now i am genuinly worried about you and i really wanted you to see my answer. Your calorie intake is too low. I was anoerxic as well and it really took away my life and i fight it ever day. low BMI is a sign, obsessing over weight is a sign, counting calories is a sign. you may not think you are (just like I did) but its the truth. I really want to help you, either add to this question or choose my answer as the best answer to contact me; i really want to help you.

do you know how to calculate your bmi (body mass index)? you can do it on the net, look it up. but your bmi is 13, well below 18, which is the cut-off for being in your healthy weight range... so no your weight is not healthy :(

absoulety not..you need to be about 125..your body will take what you are not giving it from your internal organs..they will begin to shut down from lack of nourishment and die...you must be skin and bones and that is not attractive, in fact downright ugly..add some weight and hope your organs are still in good shape..If you are anorexic see a Dr. you will be referred to a specialist..
