when I was a freshman I was a total no name, and I met this great guy, he was a senior, very popular and all the girls wanted him. well we started talking and it turned into a great friendship. he drove me home from school a few times a week, and we went to luch at least once a week. nothing physical ever happend but hugs and a few kisses on the cheek, or forhead. I never asked him how he felt about me, but I have always had a crush on him and wanted more. it's now 10 years later and I am trying to get back in touch with him.

so my question is why do you think we were friends? I never thought about it at the time, but he often called me and just showed up at my house for no reason. WHY???????

I am not a boy, but if I was this is what I would think:
You were someone who didnt want him because he was cool, popular, hot, ect. He saw you liked him for what he is. And thats what he was looking for...

It may seem like he was a lot older at the time, but in reality, how much more does a senior in high school know than a freshman about a relationship?

My guess is that he had feelings for you, but didn't have the gull to ask you out. Maybe it was out of fear for what others would think. Who knows? By now, you should have a good understanding about how high school and the teenage years centered around drama. This could have just been another one of those episodes...

A good scenerio is that he came from a conservative back ground, well behave and since he was a senior and you were a freshmen back in the days, it might have a part in him not going all the way, It wouldn't be good for a church boy to have a rumor going around that he fornicated. Or maybe it just high school and the girls his age were disgusted, but they themselves either have an older b/f, or just don't want one. Since he give you a courtesy call before coming over, it meant he check to see if you were home before coming over to hang out and see you, maybe meet your parents, sounds like it's a interest by show of action not words, but a verbal comms does help.

Because he was interested in you at the time but you weren't showing him the right signs. He kept subtly pursuing you in the hopes that something would change, but it didn't - so he settled for a friendship.

Either that, or a part of him felt you weren't mature enough for the kind of relationship he was wanting so he kept you at arms length.

Who really knows? Find him and ask him!

He was at least your friend, maybe even had a crush on you. Things might have changed in ten years, but I'm sure he still thinks of you fondly.

Because your one of his friends. Not someone that wants him and is all over him, not every guy wants that every second of every day. Or mabye he never had a sister, so he just sees you as his sister, I've seen it before. Every guy is different, so why dont you just ask him?
Good luck!

maybe he was gay and felt like he could talk to you because you too were so close. And that's why nothing ever escalated beyond hugs and kisses.

that can happen.
